_ 5811 Ringgold Rd.: Police were dispatched to Elations on Wednesday on a “well being” check on a party inside the store. According to a police report, when officers arrived they spoke with a clerk who said a man had been standing in the store for more than 30 minutes and appeared to be falling asleep while standing up. When officers spoke with the man, identified as Andrew Abercrombie, he appeared to be “lethargic and sluggish.” The report states the man denied taking any medications or narcotics that day and said he had nothing alcoholic to drink. Abercrombie told police that he had ridden his motorized scooter to the adult oriented store. The report states that the police officer told Abercrombie that he would not want the man riding on the road if he had taken something that might impair him and cause danger to himself and the public. The officer advised the man to call someone to come and pick him up. The report states that dispatch ran Abercrombie’s identification and discovered that he had an active arrest warrant out of Hamilton County for violating his probation on a DUI. Abercrombie, 49, of an East State Line Road address, was taken into custody. During a search of his person, prescription bottles for Alprazolam and a generic form of Wellbutrin were found in his pockets.

_ 428 Frawley Rd.: Police were called to the address on Thursday morning on a harassment complaint. According to a police report, officers completed a report filed by Brittany Leigh Taylor. Taylor, 25, alleged that the “godfather” of her two-year-old child had been following her and had threatened to “blow up” her residence. While police were investigating the complaint and obtaining the suspect’s and victim’s information from the criminal justice portal, it was determined that Taylor had an active warrant for her arrest out of East Ridge City Court on for driving on a revoked license. Police knocked on Taylor’s door but her parents advised that she was in the shower and they shut the door. The report states that a few minutes later her parents told police that she had taken off out the back door. The report states that other officers responded to the address to track the woman down. While this was happening, Taylor was texting her mother about her displeasure with the police wanting to arrest her on a warrant service. Taylor then told her father that she would return to the address and turn herself over to officers. When officers spotted Taylor they gave her commands to “stop” and “sit down.” However, Taylor ran back inside the house. The report states that police ran after the woman inside the residence and she was taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest. The report states that Taylor became belligerent with police. She made a statement to one officer that it was because of police officers like her that people were shooting cops. Taylor continued to be uncooperative, kicking and banging on the holding cell in police headquarters to the extent that employees had to stop working because of the excessive noise.

_ 4107 Bennett Rd.:  On Wednesday evening, a police officer on patrol spotted a white Ford Explorer  traveling east in the area of Greenslake Road that didn’t have a license plate. According to a police report, the officer pulled over the vehicle that had three passengers inside. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Joseph Fortson, 34, of a Sunflower Road address in Rossville. The report states that when the officer ran Fortson’s name through records, it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant for Simple Possession. Fortson, the report states, is known to carry a pistol. The officer recovered a Kel-Tec  9 mm pistol from underneath the front passenger seat. The pistol had a fully-loaded magazine. Fortson told officers he got the pistol from a juvenile. The gun was not reported as stolen. Fortson was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and also issued a traffic citation for driving an unregistered vehicle.
