Red Wolves Sign Ronaldo Pineda

January 19, 2020 By Dick Cook and Contributed Article 0 Comments

Pending league and federation approval, The Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club announced the signing of Ronaldo Pineda. Ronaldo “Ro” Pineda, who lead the Park City Red Wolves USL League 2 team through its inaugural season, has now signed his first professional contract with the Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club. Pineda played for the Park City Red Wolves SC League 2 team and previously California State University Fullerton.

In Park City’s inaugural season, Pineda proved to be a dominant player in the attacking third by leading the team in both goals and assists. Pineda’s pace and creativity on the attack helped Park City’s offense become one of the most efficient in USL League 2’s Mountain Conference. Pineda also led the team in minutes played. Pineda’s work ethic and selfless style of play stoked the importance of having him on the field at all times.

“Ronaldo is a special type of player” says Head Coach Jimmy Obleda. “His speed, strength and technical ability are elite, but what makes Ro stand out the most is his desire to win. He wants to win at everything he does and that is contagious. That is the environment we want from our players and team.Being able to promote a player of Ronaldo’s quality from within our organization is outstanding”

Pineda is the fourth player in under a year to climb up the Red Wolves ladder and fulfill the Path To Pro and second to be called up from the Park City Red Wolves League 2 team. “We’re excited to have Ronaldo as a part of the first team,” says President and GM Sean McDaniel. “He’s another example that our organization’s League 2 players are getting serious looks from the first team’s coaching staff”
