Review: Ultimate BBQ Bundle by Big Time BBQ

review

Every once in a while I have the opportunity to test products associated with grilling and barbecue. I decided that readers of East Ridge Online News would enjoy hearing about some of the items that I get to play around with in the form of product reviews.

A couple of weeks ago I found myself in need of a couple of new grilling mitts that could handle high heat and grease. My old ones were stained, slightly torn, frayed, had burn marks, and frankly looked pretty nasty! It was late, college football was on and it was a perfect time to do some web searching and shopping.

I ran across a bundle deal from a seller on Amazon called “Big Time BBQ.” I ordered their three item “Ultimate BBQ Bundle.” The bundle included grill mats, grill gloves, and grill claws all for under about $30 – and here’s my report!

AWESOME!

The Mat: I could not think of a better way to describe the bundle. The three items were delivered quickly and all were well made. In fact, the bundle says three items but it’s actually four. The grilling mat ships with two good sized, 16 x 13, heavy duty mats that you can use for all kinds of non-stick grilling.

You could cook everything from grilled pizza to steak and seafood. No more small items falling through the grates or the grilling basket. The mats are much more heavy duty as compared to thing oven safe cooking mats.

The Gloves: I love the grill gloves because they are not “grill mitts!” Grill mitts limit you to use of your thumb and then all of your fingers squeezed together as one. The Big Time BBQ Grill Gloves are actually gloves that allow you to fully grip and work normally. Also, the gloves are easy to clean, have gripper dots so you can use as a jar grip, protect your hand and wrist, and can be used up to 425 degrees!

The Claws: The third item in the bundle was the Big Time BBQ Grill Claws – which Ally and I immediately started doing Wolverine from the Xmen impersonations as soon as we took them out of the box. After that fun the test came. They are very durable and built with tough food safe material. Like the mat and gloves they are easy to clean and dishwasher safe.

Plus, the heavy duty hand held meat claws are perfect for everything from shredding pulled pork to lifting big items such as briskets, butts, and turkeys. You can even use them to prepare large tossed salads! Use one to hold large briskets, ham, or turkey, and start carving with the other hand.

The Final Verdict

I think the Big Time BBQ Ultimate BBQ Bundle was well worth ordering. The most impressive item to me were the versatility of the grill mats followed by the gloves. I’ve had several pairs of claws over the years so I knew what the uses were with them. Their durability and easy to hold design is a step up on the older wooden handle versions of the past. I think you would be happy with your purchase of these items either for your own use or for a gift. Here’s the basic info for finding them on Amazon.

Price: Under $30 bucks for the three pack!
