Water Main Break on Lanoir Drive

Workers were busy repairing a water main break in the 700 block of Lanoir Dr, Friday morning.

According to Tennessee American Water Co. personnel at the scene, the six-inch pipe burst late Thursday night. Several dozen residents were without water and the lower areas around Lanoir Circle were inundated with runoff.

At about 11 a.m., a concrete truck was filling a 10-foot diameter area in the street that had been washed out by the break. Workers said water service should be restored by noon.
