Aug. 25 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” furnished by the East Ridge Police Department.

Aug. 23 Day Shift

Springvale Park (abandoned auto):

A red Mitsubishi sedan with no tag was located unattended at Springvale Park. A check of the VIN shows no stolen. (21-012108)

4222 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

A caller at Speedway observed a subject in the driver seat of a vehicle with tinfoil and a lighter. Police made contact with Britton Gilbert who told officers he was addicted to pain pills and had inhaled some of them earlier. Gilbert was cited for drug paraphernalia. (21-012121)

5418 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

Officers made contact with a man in one of the wash bays at Apollo Carwash after a passerby had noticed him sleeping on the property. Police woke the man up and advised him to leave. He got back on his walker and went back to his residence on Karwill Lane. (21-012118)

4338 Ringgold Road (disorder):

A shopper at Food Lion became agitated and unruly after being told of a nine pack limit on Cokes this week. The customer became upset because last week he was able to buy twelve. Management at Food Lion believes he is re-selling them elsewhere and wanted him trespassed. The gentleman was sent on his way after being told he was no longer welcome there. (21-012135)

 Night Shift

505 South Moore Road (21-012143) Theft –

The grounds keeper of OLPH reports a leaf blower has been stolen by person(s) unknown. 

4011 Ringgold Road (21-012145) Narcotics –

Subsequent to a traffic stop, Nathaniel Harris was arrested for possession of more than 3.5 ounces of marijuana.

5368 Clements Road (21-012148) Warrant –

Subsequent to a traffic stop, Scott Benn was cited for Driving on Revoked and arrested on an outstanding East Ridge Warrant for the same.

6700 Ringgold Rd. (21-012151) – Possession of handgun while intoxicated 

Subsequent to a traffic stop, Deasia Stoudemire was cited for Possession of handgun while under the influence.  Stoudemire’s level of intoxication did not rise to the level of DUI.

1503 McDonald Road (21-012153) Public Intoxication (Waverly Motel)  –

Tanya Younce, aka Brown, was arrested for public intoxication.

4100 Ringgold Rd. (21-012155) Warrant –

Kendall Storey was arrested on Hamilton County Warrant.

4204 Ringgold Rd. (21-012156) Warrant –

Lesley Blansit was arrested on an outstanding East Ridge Warrant.

3502 Ringgold Rd. (21-012152) Carjacking – (Cascades Motel)

Lovell Lightner forcibly took the keys of Brittany Louallen’s vehicle and stole her vehicle despite her protests.  Warrants were sought to arrest Lightner for carjacking and Driving on Revoked.

1509 South Smith Street (21-012154) Burglary of a Business –

While responding to a burglar alarm, Dustin Everett was arrested for breaking into this business and vandalising the alarm system.
