COLLEGEDALE – For many years, the Collegedale Police Department has proudly supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink badges throughout October. This annual tradition is a meaningful way for our officers to show their support for those affected by breast cancer and to recognize the families, survivors, and organizations dedicated to the fight against this disease.
“Every year, we wear these pink badges as a reminder that breast cancer has touched the lives of so many people in our community,” said Chief Jack Sapp. “We hope this small gesture helps keep the conversation going, encourages regular screenings and early detection, and reminds those facing this battle that they are not alone.”
Throughout October, we stand alongside breast cancer patients, survivors, families, caregivers, and the organizations working to advance awareness, research, treatment, and prevention. Together, we can continue to raise awareness and support those affected by breast cancer in our community and across Tennessee.
