Dec. 30 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from “pass along report” provided by the East Ridge Police Department.

 Dec. 28 Day Shift

3936 Ringgold Road (theft)

The complainant had her pocketbook stolen at Save-a-lot on Christmas Eve. When she checked online, she discovered the thieves had used her credit card at a variety of stores. She has since canceled the card. (21-018902)

3715 Ringgold Road (auto theft):

The complainant contacted CPD to advise she had gotten her car back Christmas Eve after it had been stolen at Food City last week. Her son, who was listed as the suspect, returned the car to her Belle Vista address in Chattanooga. It was removed from NCIC. (21-018332)

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Shanice Cal was arrested at Silverdale on East Ridge warrants for criminal conspiracy and theft. (19-006245)

Night Shift

183.2 I-24W (Shots Fired 21-018712):

A witness observed an occupant in an older model dark-colored SUV shoot at another vehicle on I-24 West in Chattanooga. The suspect vehicle was then observed to flee south on S. Germantown Road and west on Ringgold Road toward the tunnels. Police checked the area but did not locate anything. The identity of the suspect or victim was not known to police.

1901 McBrien Road (Auto Theft 21-018719):

The complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend, Jimmy Holden, was in possession of her vehicle and refusing to return it to her. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. The Walker County Sheriff’s Office was able to successfully recover the vehicle at Holden’s address in Walker County. Warrants will be filed against Holden for Theft of Property over $10,000.

1800 block Tombras Ave (Child Neglect 21-018720):

Karla Kiker was arrested for two counts of child neglect after concerned citizens found her twin toddler children unattended in the street.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 21-018723):

Timothy Duggard was served with outstanding East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.

2016 Tombras Ave (Assist fire 21-018731):

Police responded to this address to assist firefighters with a small fire on the exterior of the residence. The homeowner was able to extinguish the fire quickly using a water hose. EPB was dispatched to pull power to the residence due to unsafe living conditions.
