I hold a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a Paralegal Certificate, and I have spent more than 30 years working in the legal field. For the past 12 years, I have had the honor of serving the citizens of East Ridge as their City Court Clerk. I believe that experience matters-especially in a position as important and specialized as this one.

Being a nurse or a realtor can be a tremendous accomplishment, but those professions do not provide the education, legal background, or hands-on court experience necessary to operate a court clerk’s office. This is not an entry-level position where someone should have to learn the court system and the responsibilities of the office after taking office.

Over the past 12 years, I have gained firsthand knowledge of our court system, the responsibilities of this office, and the challenges that come with serving our community. I have worked to improve the office, find solutions to challenges, and make sure the court continues to serve the citizens of East Ridge effectively and professionally.

I believe voters deserve a Court Clerk who is prepared to do the job from day one.

Experience should not be an afterthought _ it should be a qualification.

I am proud of the experience and knowledge I bring to this office, and I am proud of the work I have accomplished on behalf of East Ridge. Most importantly, I am proud to have served this community for the past 12 years.
