Feb. 17 Police Briefs

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department and was compiled from its “pass along reports.”

Feb 15 Day Shift

21-002067- 6514 Ringgold Road (Mapco)- Hold Up Alarm-

Police responded to check the business. On arrival officers spoke to the staff. The alarm was found to be accidental.

21-002068- 932 Spring Creek Road (East Ridge Eye Center)- Disorder-

The caller advised a black male was at the business causing a disorder. On arrival police spoke with the male. He requested transport to Greenway Drive area. His request was granted.

21-002069- 3713 Ringgold Road (Subway)- Delayed Theft-

The caller advised she accidentally left her wallet at the business last week. On review of the video it appeared she threw it away with her trash.

No number assigned- 3800 blk of Ringgold Road- Delayed Noise Complaint-

Complainant called to report loud music in the area of the Amigo’s restaurant. She advised this occurs every weekend. On speaking with her it was found the noise is coming from the Level Up Arcade. She was advised to contact police when she hears the music. 

21-002070- 6710 Ringgold Road (Best Western)- Disorder-

The caller advised she and her family have been in a disorder. On arrival the disorder was found to be verbal in nature.

21-002074- 6012 Ringgold Road (Parker Auto Sales)- Auto Theft-

The calle advised a gold 1999 Chevy S10 was stolen off the lot sometime this weekend. He stated the keys to the vehicle were still inside the business and not with the vehicle. The vehicle was entered in NCIC.

21-002076- 6519 Ringgold Road (Super 8 Motel)- Disorder Prevention-

The caller requested police assistance with removing an overdue guest. On arrival police stood by while the guest vacated the room.

21-002077- 4401 Ringgold Road (Mack’s Highway Market)- Bad Check-

On arrival police met with the complainant who had a letter from First Bank stating a check no. 4041 5189927 from the United States Treasury in the amount of $994.69 made out to a Peter Ruby was a fictitious check. Mack’s Highway Market collected a picture of the TN ID belonging to Peter Ruby and a picture of his face at the time of cashing the check. The pictures did match up and a record check of that TN ID number did verify as Peter Ruby. Ruby did receive the funds from Mack’s Highway Market. Police will pursue warrants on Peter Ruby for passing fraudulent checks.

21-002080- 5322 Spriggs Street- AOA-

Police responded with fire on a medical call due to a possible forced entry. On arrival fire was able to gain entry without damaging property.

 Night Shift

21-002090 – 6703 Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop:

Jessica Robinson was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Impersonation following a traffic stop at this location.

21-002092 – 6401 Ringgold Road / Deceptive Practice:

The manager called police due to two black males attempting to pay with a counterfeit $20 bill. The manager stated she did not wish to prosecute and only wanted police to take possession of the bill.

002091 – 1417 St. Thomas Street (arrest):

Christopher Waddle was taken into custody for possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

21-002103 – 1600 Prigmore Street (AOA Warrant Service):

Justin Westmoreland was taken into custody on active Walker County warrants.

728 Frawley Road,  (Unknown Trouble 21-002088):

A neighbor contacted police claiming that a woman could be heard screaming and a man yelling and beating on something.  When police arrived, they stood outside of the apartment door to 904 and listened for signs of a disturbance.  Police then knocked on the door, making contact with the male resident who appeared to have been sleeping.  Police explained the situation then asked the male if everyone was alright, at which time he closed the door without answering.  Since there were no signs of a disturbance, police did not pursue any further investigation.
