Feb. 18 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

Feb. 16 Day Shift

 4150 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

A passerby saw a subject sitting in a car near the Walmart gas pumps and thought he was staring at the employee. Police made contact with the man who had pulled onto the lot to safely speak on the phone. (22-002185)

1006 Justine Lane (assault):

A man and a woman got into a disorder and each accused the other of assault. Police could not determine a primary aggressor. (22-0002185)

 Night Shift

1410 Mack Smith Rd (Drug Overdose 22-002200):

Police were called to a drug overdose at the Budgetel. The victim was administered Narcan and regained consciousness after care was transferred to East Ridge Fire/Rescue.

6300 Marietta St (DUI 22-002225):

Juana Luarca was arrested for DUI and a light law violation during a traffic stop at this location.

900 South Seminole Dr (DUI 22-002220):

Police arrested Wesley Williams for DUI along with a plethora of other charges. Mr. Williams’ is labeled by the state to be a habitual DUI offender.

723 Belvoir Ave (Miscellaneous 22-002232):

While performing routine patrol police noticed a Subaru sedan at 723 Belvoir Ave with the back hatch open. Police contacted the vehicle owner. She stated she was unaware it was open and looked through the vehicle to make sure nothing was missing.

4214 Ringgold Rd (warrant 22-002204):

Corbin Rankhorn was arrested and booked at the Hamilton County Jail for East Ridge warrant alias capias-possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
