July 12 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

July 08– Day Shift

5519 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

O’Reilly’s Auto Parts employees called about a suspicious male standing in the parking lot screaming. Contact was made with the man who was taken by request to Parkridge East Hospital for a mental evaluation. (21-009724)

1417 St. Thomas Street (trespass):

Motel 6 staff called about an individual who failed to check out on time. Contact was made in Room 235 with Rodney Smith who was found asleep next to his meth pipe. He was issued a misdemeanor citation and criminally trespassed per staff. (21-009719)

1417 St. Thomas Street (criminal impersonation):

Police were called to Room 103 at the Motel 6 concerning a male who was not supposed to be on the property per the staff. Contact was made with the subject who identified himself as Jacob Bailey. Police located drug paraphernalia on him and discovered his true identity was Nathaniel Bailey. He was arrested for criminal impersonation. (21-009721)

1417 St. Thomas Street (warrant service):

Motel 6 requested police remove an unwanted male from a room. Contact was made with Jamathan Horton who had an extraditable warrant through Georgia. Horton was transported to Silverdale. (21-009722)

July 08 –Night Shift

6408 Ringgold Rd (DUI 21-009730):

Julia Stewart was taken into custody for DUI following a crash on the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts.

6300 Ringgold Rd (DUI 21-009738):

Samantha Allison was taken into custody for DUI during a traffic stop.

5301 Ringgold Rd (AOA Arrest 21-009742):

Zebulon Holt was detained on felony warrants through Walker County. Bobby Black was detained on active warrants through Rhea County. Both were transported to Silverdale.

July 09 – Day Shift

21-009762- 829 Germantown Road- Warrant Service-

Thomas Ellis was arrested on East Ridge warrants during a disorder prevention at this address. He was transported to Silverdale without incident.

July 09 – Night Shift

 21-009755 1503 McDonald Road / Waverly Motel / Theft:

Police responded to this location in reference to a robbery call. Police arrived on scene and made contact with a woman who told police her boyfriend Cody Baugh had stolen her cell phone and $80 cash. Police are seeking warrants for the arrest of Baugh. Report on file.

4900 Court Drive / Warrant Service:

(21-009785) Police conducted a traffic stop at this location and discovered the back seat passenger Dustin Long had active warrants through East Ridge, Hamilton County, and Catoosa County.

5700 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:

(21-009776) Police conducted a traffic stop at this location and discovered both occupants Dustin White and Daniel Healon both had active warrants for their arrest one of which was through East Ridge. Both parties were taken into custody.

1500 Mack Smith Road/Warrant Service (21-009772):

Tyler Moore was arrested for a Hamilton County Warrant at this location. Mr. Moore was transported to the Jail.

State Line/Mcbrien Road/Assault on Police/Warrant Service (21-009784):

Police stopped a vehicle in Georgia after it failed to maintain lane on Prigmore Road. During the traffic stop the passenger, identified as Tyler Ray attempted to evade police and assault police. After a brief foot chase and the use of a taser Mr. Ray was placed in custody. Mr. Ray had active Aggravated Assault warrants out of Walker County. Catoosa County charged Mr. Ray with assault on police.

He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
