July 14 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

July 12 Day Shift

4214 Ringgold Rd. Warrant Service/

Kayla Jones was arrested on outstanding East Ridge warrants for Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment and Theft of Property.

5512 Ringgold Rd. Suspicious persons:

Police were dispatched to this address on a report of homeless parties sleeping under the stairs. Officers made contact with a man and a woman as they were sleeping under the stairs. Both parties stated they were homeless, and they packed their things, cleaned the area, and left the property. Both were criminal trespassed from this location. 22-009873

6700 Ringgold Rd (public intoxication/overdose arrest):

Police responded to the Quality Inn after an employee reported observing a female unconscious on the east side sidewalk. Police located Christin Watson, who appeared to be experiencing the after-effects of opioid use. Watson was found to have an active warrant for DUI through ERPD. However, due to her current impaired condition, she was transported to the hospital for treatment. After being discharged from the hospital, police transported Watson on the current warrant and new charges of public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. (22-009875).

1410 Mack Smith Rd (disorder):

Police responded to a disorder between a young man and his mother. The son stated he was upset because his mother was questioning his poor life decisions. Police advised the man that he could avoid these issues by moving out and removing himself from the problem. The parties agreed to separate for the remainder to avoid being evicted from the property by the motel. (22-009881).

Night Shift

I-75 Southbound (Warrant Service 22-009900):

After encountering Dustin Phelps in a disabled vehicle he was taken into custody on outstanding East Ridge warrants and transported to Silverdale.

1312 Spring Creek Rd (Field Interview 22-009906):

Police encountered Darien Brown walking in the middle of Spring Creek Rd. Brown had been smoking marijuana before police contacted him. The man is on state probation and just got released from prison on 7/7/22 for armed robbery.

3936 Ringgold Road (Arrest/Traffic stop 22-009908):

Steven Smith was taken into custody for Unlawful Possession of Firearms, Theft of Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Prohibited weapons during a traffic stop.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant 22-002408/22-009909):

Amanda Hayes was arrested on multiple warrants through East Ridge.

1517 Tombras Avenue (Arrest 22-008151):

Frank Wilson was taken into custody at East Ridge City Court on an active East Ridge warrant for criminal impersonation. He was transported to Silverdale via prisoner transport.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 22-009912):

Paul Evans was served with an outstanding warrant at the Hamilton County jail.
