July 5 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

July 01 – Day Shift

1600 East 3rd Street (warrant service):

Zahra Mears was taken into custody at JDU for outstanding active East Ridge warrants. She was transported to the jail without incident. (22-009310)

6514 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):

Police responded with EMS to an individual passed out in his car on the side of Mapco. EMS woke up the subject, Moises Sanchez-Mendoza, who appeared disorientated. When he got out of the car so EMS could check him, officers observed a loaded firearm and a glass narcotics pipe. Sanchez was transported to the ER for evaluation and then to Silverdale. (22-009294)

4319 Greenbriar Road (auto burglary):

The complainant stated a .22 handgun was stolen from the center console of his vehicle. (22-009289)

951 McBrien Road (vandalism):

The maintenance employee for the Church of Christ discovered approximately thirty roofing nails scattered throughout the church parking lot this morning. (22-009295)

July 01 – Night Shift

Officers were notified through dispatch TDOT had observed a bear cub near the welcome center on I-75. TDOT stated the bear had run into the woods near Top Golf and Camp Jordan.

6300 Ringgold Road (DUI 22-009346):

Christopher Greene was arrested for DUI after running the red light at the intersection of Spring Creek Road and Ringgold Road and nearly striking a patrol vehicle.

6500 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 22-009353):

Following a suspicious person call, police observed Brandon Harrawood traveling without wearing a seatbelt. He was ultimately arrested for multiple warrants through Hamilton County.

806 McHann Dr (Noise Complaint 22-009338):

A party called in stating someone was shooting off fireworks in the area. Police patrolled the neighborhood but did not locate anything.

4214 Ringgold Road (Warrant 22-009335):

Kristin Odell was served with four warrants for Forfeiture Capias for Resisting Arrest, DUI, Simple Possession, and Open Container after being brought to the Police Department by Huckabee Bonding.

5080 South Terrace (Field Interview 22-009343):

Police located two individuals living out of a van in the rear parking lot of this location. They were advised to move on and a field interview was completed.

700 McBrien Road (DUI 22-009351):

Ruth Nay was taken into custody for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.

7609 Standifer Gap Road (Warrant 22-009345):

Dominique Smith was served with an outstanding warrant for Alias Capias – Driving While Suspended following a traffic stop by HCSO.

July 02 – Day Shift

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Taelor Mayweather was arrested at Silverdale on multiple East Ridge warrants. (22-009390)

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Jillian Phillips was taken into custody by CPD for active East Ridge warrants and turned over to East Ridge officers. (22-009378)

6600 block Stateline Road (mental illness):

The resident wanted to speak with police concerning his mentally challenged neighbor who enjoys pulling up the caller’s grass. (22-009379)

6514 Ringgold Road (suspicious persons):

Mapco customers called about a pair of drunks lying around on the store’s lot. Contact was made with a man and his companion. Both had just exited their Waverly Motel room while it was being cleaned. They returned to their room and the man was advised to stay inside until he sobers. (22-009384)

3636 Ringgold Road (counterfeit money):

Food City wanted to prosecute Wallace Newman after he attempted to purchase groceries with a fake $100 bill. Newman was arrested and transported to Silverdale. (22-009383)

July 02 – Night Shift

6404 Ringgold Rd (Public Intoxication 22-009409):

Police arrested Michael Martin for public intoxication after he was observed stumbling in traffic and yelling at passing vehicles.

1000 John Ross Road (Traffic/Arrest 22-009403):

Robert Metsch was taken into custody for Driving While License Revoked For DUI during a traffic stop.
