June 21 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

June 17– Day Shift

21-008544- 1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Disorder-

The caller advised of a disorder between a black male and female at the motel. On arrival they had already left the area. While on scene dispatch advised of a second disorder at the Tip Top market between a black male and female. Officers relocated there but the couple left before their arrival. 

21-003890- Warrant Service-

Eric Hubbard was transported from the Walker County jail to Silverdale and served with two East Ridge warrants. 

21-008549- 6504 Ringgold Road (Subway)- Theft-

The caller advised an unknown male took a change box from the business last night. On arrival police spoke with manager. She advised on 6-16-21 at around 1928 hours, a customer went behind the counter and took the change box that had $232.44 inside and fled the store. The manager showed the surveillance video to police, which showed a younger white male go behind the counter and take the item. The manager advised the suspect fled with a white female in a white sedan. The manager advised she would be emailing the footage to police later.

21-008555- 5307 B Weaver Street- Suspicious Activity-

The caller advised after returning home she heard a noise like someone was entering the rear door to her residence. On arrival no evidence of entry was located, and nothing appeared to have been touched. The caller requested an extra watch of her residence and neighborhood.

21-008559- 1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6)- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a white male hanging around the property. They requested he be asked to leave. On arrival police checked around the motel property. The male was not located.

21-008561- 1410 Mack Smith Road #1103 (Budgetel)- Mental Health Consumer-

The caller requested transport for a mental evaluation. On arrival he was taken to Johnson Mental Health.

June 17 –Night Shift

3604 Larry Lane / Domestic Assault / Arrest:

Kabine Sylla was arrested for domestic assault for assaulting his girlfriend.  21-008576

6404 Ringgold Road / Check Well Being:

Police were called to check on a party who was lying in the middle of the Burger King parking lot. Police arrived on scene to find Patrick Elliott passed out in a parking space. Elliott was arrested for public intoxication, possession of schedule II, and tampering with evidence.  21-008581

5080 S Terrace / Suspicious Vehicle / Arrest:

David Carter was issued a misdemeanor citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Sidney Hannah was issued Misdemeanor Citations for Simple Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a consensual encounter at this location. 21-008584

6514 Ringgold Road / Stolen Firearm:

Police conducted a traffic stop at this location and recovered a stolen firearm. Brandon Wordlaw was taken into custody without incident and transported to Silverdale Detention Facility. 21-008592

700 S Germantown Rd / Arrest:

Eddrick Worbington was arrested for possession of a stolen firearm and simple possession of marijuana during a traffic stop at this location.  21-008594

June 18 – Day Shift

4214 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service:

ERPD was contacted by HCSO who advised a David King was in East Ridge and had active county warrants. King was located and detained by ERPD; who was then handed over to a HCSO deputy. No number

3380 Shadowlawn Dr./ Shots Fired:

Resident at this address notified police that he had been the victim of a road rage incident on S. Seminole. The suspect vehicle, a black Jeep Liberty, driven by a male with dreads, followed him down various streets. Somewhere on Bennett the driver flashed a pistol at the victim. As the victim turned onto Frederick Dr, the suspect pulled up and fired a shot at the victim. As the vehicle started pulling away, the victim, who was legally armed, returned fire. The victim believes he hit the right rear quarter panel several times. The suspect, who the victim did not know, then fled. Witnesses told officers they heard gunshots. Officers searched the area, located several spent casings, but did not locate the impact of the initial round from the suspect.  21-00008619

505 S Moore Road (OLPH) (Vandalism):

Police came in contact with the reporting party/business manager of the property. He stated between 1700 hours on 06/17/2021 and 0700 hours on 06/18/2021 someone slashed tires on two different vehicles in the parking lot. He stated the two vehicles belonged to two of the ministers for the church. 21-008599

June 18 – Night Shift

100 I-75 North (Miscellaneous 21-0086):

The reporting party stated they had placed a handgun on the roof of their vehicle and then drove through East Ridge on Interstate 75. They were unable to then locate the gun.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Arrest 21-00):

Ruth Randolph was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.

6515 Ringgold Rd (Aggravated Robbery 21-008632):

A male party in a white Audi convertible brandished a firearm and took $20 from a party in the parking lot of Champy’s. The suspect fled west on Ringgold Road before officers arrived.

3300 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-008635):

Flavo Sanchez Mendez was taken in custody for DUI during a traffic stop.

4300 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-008638):

Dylan Carter was taken into custody for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and driving without a license.

3405 Betty Ln (Disorder 21-008642):

Neighbors were involved in a verbal disorder over fireworks being shot.

3600 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-008643):

A male party was taken into custody for driving without a license after police were unable to identify him.

829 Claremont Ct (Noise Complaint 21-008640):

Police responded to a report of fireworks being shot in the area. Nothing was located.
