June 24 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along reports.”

June 22 Day Shift

21-008822- 707 South Germantown Road (Action Church)- Suspicious Vehicle/Person-

The caller advised a female was observed on camera getting out of a minivan and throwing a syringe in the parking lot before getting into a second vehicle. The second vehicle was then observed leaving the lot. On arrival a gold SUV with a flat tire was found parked on the lot. Police checked the vehicle through dispatch, and it returned no stolen. Police also checked the area around the vehicle but did not locate a syringe.

21-008824- 400 Scruggs Road- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised a white male in a blue shirt was walking in the roadway and possibly intoxicated. The caller was unclear if the male was in Tennessee or Georgia. On arrival police encountered the man. He was checked for warrants and given a ride to the Motel 6.

21-008830- 1203 Blocker Lane (Brainerd Baptist East Ridge)- Suspicious People-

The caller advised two males were trying to enter the church. On arrival police spoke with the caller. He advised the two males were driving an older model light color Nissan Altima. The males were gone before police arrival. The caller requested extra patrol.

21-008831- 3205 Old Ringgold Road (Book Store)- Theft-

The complainant reported two catalytic converters had been removed from two vehicles parked on the lot of the business. The vehicles are a white Asuzu Box Truck, and a white GMC box truck. The exact date of theft is unknown. No suspect information is available.

Night Shift

4100 Ringgold Rd / Evading:

Police attempted to stop a white Ford Expedition at the intersection of John Ross and Ringgold Road after it was observed running a red light onto Ringgold Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle failed to pull over for police and drive through the parking lot of 4011 Ringgold Road and continued north on Belvoir at a high rate of speed. Police deactivated emergency equipment and allowed the vehicle to safely flee the area.

6708 Ringgold Road (Circle K)/ Suspicious Person:

Store Clerk at the Circle K called police concerning an intoxicated white male standing outside the store annoying customers.  Police located Christopher Brian Meade at the entrance to Camping World after he departed the Circle K prior to police arrival.  Police encountered Meade three times this date.  He appeared to be intoxicated and a danger to himself.  Police placed him in custody for his safety and transported him to Silverdale for public intoxication. 21-008863

1316 Greens lake Road/Assist other agency/Stolen Vehicle Recovery:

Police were notified that Catoosa County was chasing a dark colored sedan with a TN tag that didn’t match the vehicle north on Greenslake Road. Catoosa County terminated at the state line. Moments later police were notified of a motor vehicle crash at 1316 Greenslake with a dark colored sedan. Police responded and found a driverless vehicle on scene. After speaking with neighbors, police were advised the male ran into a nearby garage on Eledge Road. Police located the suspect, Gareak Gaddis, in the garage. Gaddis was arrested and charged accordingly. The vehicle was stolen out of Cleveland. 21-008852

6408 Ringgold Road / Robbery From Person:

Police were dispatched to Dunkin’ Donuts for a male that was robbed.  The male said two males with light colored hair robbed him of his beer.  After an inspection of the area where he reported being robbed, and asked how much beer he had purchased and consumed, it does not appear that he was robbed.  21-008869
