Law and Order April 15

Day Shift April 14: A Squad

26-003363 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Theft from Vehicle – A tenant reported that an unknown suspect broke into her vehicle using a rock and stole both her and her boyfriend’s wallets. There are no suspects currently.

26-003378 – 400 BLK Alice Drive – Disorder – The reporting party reported that her child’s father reached into the passenger side of her vehicle and stole her key ring from the ignition. He then took off running towards a friend’s vehicle, who was waiting for him down the street. The man later called in and wished to prosecute the woman for hitting him with her vehicle; however, he refused to relocate to the scene to show officers his injuries, probably due to an outstanding warrant, and then made threats towards after officers wouldn’t accommodate his phone call report. The address was added to a watch list in Chattanooga.

26-003371 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Back EMS / Drug Overdose – Police were called to room the hotel for a possible drug overdose. On scene police met a party who said he took 30-40 pills of his prescribed medication along with alcohol because he didn’t feel well. He did not have any suicidal ideations and requested medical help. HCEMS transported for treatment.

26-003374 – 1400 BLK North Smith Street – Well Being Check – Police were informed of a male sitting near the road who looked dazed and confused. Police contacted the man who stated he was resting his injured leg, which he had sustained a couple of nights before. The man stated he did not need help and left the area.

26-003368 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Theft from a Vehicle – Police spoke with the reporting party who stated her vehicle was broken into and a wallet stolen. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Night Shift April 14: C Squad

26-003393 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Commercial Building Fire – Police and Fire Department units responded to a fire report at the motel. Upon arrival, Police and Firefighters observed visible flames coming from a large cooking pan that had been placed outside of a motel room. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and ventilated the building. Two occupants were transported by EMS to a local hospital for smoke inhalation.

26-003398 – 1600 BLK Prigmore Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a white Kia Rio traveling 15 mph over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated, where it was determined the vehicle driver had a revoked driver’s license. He was arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked License for DUI.

26-003400 – 1200 BLK John Ross Road – Disorder – The caller reported that a female subject showed up at his residence without invitation, created a disorder, and refused to leave. Police responded to the location and found the woman outside the home. After speaking with police, she agreed to leave in an Uber. The resident did not wish to criminally trespass her from the property or pursue any other charges against her.

26-003401 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police Officers conducted a traffic stop with a red Chevrolet Tahoe due to a light law violation. The driver consented to search of the vehicle where ERPD located a black bag containing a glass pipe with suspected drug residue. A passenger in the vehicle claimed ownership of the drug paraphernalia. The contraband was seized and placed in the ERPD Property Room for destruction.
