Day Shift April 29

25-004522 & 25-004527 – 1300 BLK St Thomas Street – Harassment – The caller told police he was in fear his roommate was going to attack or kill him when he returns home from an appointment. The man did not say his roommate explicitly made any threats to him, but he has a feeling he’ll be mad upon returning. Police advised him to call back if the party’s presence causes him to be in fear. Police responded to the residence a short time later and met with a distraught caller who said an ERPD officer read his mind prior to leaving earlier in the day and that the officer told a fellow officer that the caller “wanted him” while the officer “strutted” down the driveway. He was assured that the officers did not read his mind. The man relented and went back into his residence.

25-004531 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Two males were seen concealing two bottles of Don Julio Private Cask 750ml worth $75.99 each. They proceeded to leave without paying and entered two separate vehicles. One vehicle was a white Kia Optima with front-end damage bearing a documented Tennessee tag, and the other was a white Honda Civic hatchback bearing another documented Tennessee plate. The registration comes back to females, and police were not able to contact them at the time of the report.

25-004524 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Road – Theft – Police spoke with a man who stated his laptop was stolen when he left his vehicle to pick up his children from a soccer game. The laptop was a new MacBook Pro worth $1,500. It was last located around UTC in the Computer Science Building. The reporting party was asked to cooperate with UTC police and see if they can help find the laptop in their jurisdiction.

25-004528-1600 BLK Springvale Rd.-Missing Juvenile – Police responded to this address on reports of a missing child. The uncle of the child advised she had been missing for approximately ten minutes. The uncle told police she was playing outside and then vanished. Officers began an immediate search of the area and contacted Catoosa County for assistance. Police searched the woods for approximately 30-45 minutes. A neighbor was able to locate the child in the woods on the Georgia side. The juvenile was returned to her grandparents.

Night Shift April 29

25-004544 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity / Arrest – A man came to the East Ridge Police Department to report his vehicle had been hit by another vehicle in Brainerd. It was observed that the man was unsteady of his feet and could not recall several details. Police then determined the vehicle crash had already been reported to the Chattanooga Police Department earlier in the day. After a short investigation, the man was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence.

The reporting party also stated a dark sedan, driven by a female, left the area. Police checked the residence and the surrounding area, but did not locate any suspicious people or activities.

25-004549 – 3100 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for an arrest warrant out of the Hamilton County Sessions Court. 25-004555 – 900 BLK S Seminole Street– Disorder / Arrest – Police and Fire Department personnel responded to a fire alarm at the apartments. Fire personnel determined a woman was responsible for the alarm as she had intentionally blown cigarette smoke into a fire alarm sensor. She told officers that she would intentionally set off the alarm again after everyone left. She then became very loud and belligerent outside her apartment. Police arrested her and she was charged with False Reporting and Disorderly Conduct. She remained loud and argumentative throughout the arrest procedures to include transport and booking at the Hamilton County Jail.
