Day Shift August 23: A Squad
26-008108 – 4400 BLK Bennett Road – Pursuit of Vehicle/ Arrest – Police were almost struck by a vehicle who disregarded the stop sign at Bennett Road and McBrien Road. The vehicle then proceeded at a high rate of speed northbound on Tombras Avenue weaving in and out of traffic almost striking a truck in the oncoming lane. Police initiated a stop at the intersection of Ringgold Road and Tombras Avenue. The passenger threw up his hands and the vehicle fled again at a high rate of speed disregarding red lights. The driver bailed out on foot near Fisher Lane and was seen running near Tin Can Lane. The ERPD Traffic car located a motorcycle with a registration associated with the suspect near Ethel Lane. The driver was located inside and is being held at Catoosa County Jail. He is being charged with evading arrest, aggravated kidnapping, possession of sch II (methamphetamine) with intent to resell, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless endangerment, and failure to obey traffic control device.
26-008100- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Auto Theft – The victim stated her dark blue 2016 Nissan Altima was last seen parked on the East side of the building around 0000 hours on 08/23. She stated there is a white mark in the paint on the hood of the car, and it has window tint. The keys were not taken with the vehicle. There is no suspect information currently. The owner does wish to prosecute for auto theft. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
26-008106 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – Police responded to a verbal disorder. At the business’s request, two people were formally trespassed and advised that returning to the property could result in arrest.
26-008105 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Traffic Stop / Stolen Plate – Police located a vehicle bearing a stolen TN tag. The driver advised he rented the vehicle from Enterprise. The driver provided the rental agreement that displayed the tag and the matching VIN. The driver was released from the scene, and the tag was removed from NCIC.
Night Shift August 23: C Squad
26-008113 – 900 BLK Spring Creek – Citizen Assist – Police responded after a man called in stating he had been transported via ambulance earlier in the day, and after being released, had no way back home. Officers gave the man a courtesy ride.
26-008116 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder with a Weapon – A party called in stating a male was attempting to break into his room with a gun. Officers discovered the window that the male was reportedly trying to enter through was on the fourth floor of the hotel. The male was determined to be a mental health consumer.
