Law and Order August 20

Day Shift August 19: B Squad

26-007959- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft – The business reported a suspect stole merchandise on five separate occasions over the course of two months. The most notable theft was a bottle of Dom Perignon with a value of $330. Warrants for theft are being sought.

26-007960 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Miscellaneous – A citizen, who wished to remain anonymous, requested a phone call from police about an unknown matter. Police spoke to the anonymous party who berated police about alleged officer misconduct, but refused to give specific details. Police asked the party to come to ERPD if he wished to file a formal complaint, which he refused to do. He stated he only wanted police to hear his anger and frustration and later told dispatch he would continue to call until he was satisfied with ERPD’s response to his complaints.

26-007956 – 200 BLK Eads Street – Vandalism – The caller reported an unknown subject she believed “keyed” the sides and front of her 2008 green Nissan Altima while it was parked in the parking lot sometime after 1058hrs on the previous evening. The owner advised she did not have evidence of a suspect, but believed that due to history with one woman, that she had her suspicions.

Night Shift August 19: D Squad

26-007971 – 4300 BLK Greenslake Road-Residential Fire – ERPD responded to a reported residential fire. Officers arrived on scene with ERFD, helping the owner and her dogs evacuate safely. EMS checked the homeowner while ERFD successfully put out the fire.

26-007977-4100 BLK Ringgold Road- Animal Call – Police responded to reports of an aggressive dog. Patrol arrived on scene and found the dog was not aggressive, just injured after being struck by a car. ERAS permitted the dog to be released to the owner and will follow on an alleged dog bite that occurred when a witness decided to pick up the injured animal.

26-007981 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road– Traffic Violation/Narcotics Arrest – An ERPD Officer observed a black Ford F-150 leaving the hotel and roll past the stop bar at the red light. The officer conducted a traffic stop and, on approach, observed a twisted baggie of cocaine in the center console. The vehicle occupants were removed from the vehicle, detained, and the vehicle was searched. The officer located an additional baggie of cocaine and marijuana. The driver was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of jail.

26-007983-5300 BLK Bennett Road- Burglary – A caller reported that on Monday, a white van with unknown occupants pulled into her driveway and began removing items from her home.
