Day Shift December 19: A Squad
25-012967- 3800 BLK Bennett Road- Search Warrant/ Arrest – Following the execution of the search warrant, a man was taken into custody on the Georgia parole warrant for Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Hijacking a Motor Vehicle. Another party was also arrested at the residence on an outstanding Georgia Probation warrant for Aggravated Assault.
25-013060- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Misc. – A man approached police stating he was in a paranoid state after using meth the night prior. He was transported to Volunteer Behavioral Health per his request.
25-013063 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity – Officers were waved down by Camp Jordan staff concerning a white car and a green car possibly engaged in narcotics activities by the pond. Police checked the area, however neither vehicle was located.
Night Shift December 19: C Squad
25-013076 – 100 BLK Cecil Lane – Disorder – ERPD was dispatched to the above address for a disorder over a parking spot. The RP informed dispatch that the suspect had threatened to shoot her, and he liked to shoot people. The caller described a white VW SUV. When ERPD arrived, they did not locate a vehicle that was occupied, matching that description. The RP stepped outside, pointed at a black VW, and said “that’s him” as he was leaving, and gave a clothing description. ERPD stopped the vehicle, and the driver matched the description. The driver stated he never said those comments. Police spoke to the RP again; she stated that he did not make a direct threat to her, nor did she see a gun. She agreed that he implied that he would shoot her. It was determined that there wasn’t enough evidence of a crime committed to charge the suspect, so he was released.
25-013078 – 4300 BLK Lazard Street – Domestic – ERPD responded to the above address for an active physical domestic. Upon arrival, parties were separated and detained. The victim who stated that his son was angered because the father “mis-gendered” him. He went on to say that is when his son had struck him in the face and continued to be aggressive on the floor with him. The suspect admitted to ERPD that he punched his father. He was arrested for Domestic Assault and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift December 20: A Squad
25-013081- 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Aggravated Assault – The caller reported that her boyfriend strangled her to the point that she began to lose consciousness. He then drove her into Chattanooga, forced her out of her vehicle, and fled the area in her vehicle. Chattanooga Police Department later located the vehicle, which fled into Georgia and was pursued by the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. The male was ultimately taken into custody on new charges. Warrants for Aggravated Assault and Interference with a 911 Call were sworn through the City of East Ridge and are pending extradition.
25-013089-6400 BLK Ringgold Road-Traffic Stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Ringgold Road, a man was taken into custody for driving on a revoked license for DUI. He was transported to jail without issue.
25-013091 – 4000 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI – Police conducted a traffic stop on a white work van that was crossing over the center yellow line and found the driver to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DUI.
25-013092- 1000 Bass Pro Drive- Arrest – The TBI flagged an individual attempting to buy a firearm, due to having active warrants for aggravated assault through Hamilton County Sessions Court. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Night Shift December 20: C Squad
25-013099 – Parkridge East – Warrant Service – ERPD received a call stating that a woman was visiting family at the hospital and had warrants through East Ridge and Hamilton County. The warrants were verified for both jurisdictions, and the subject was arrested and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-013104 – 1600 BLK South Seminole Drive – Suspicious Person – A homeowner went outside to investigate a noise in his yard when he observed a man holding a flashlight who quickly jumped behind a tree to evade being seen. The prowler was seen leaving on foot towards Ringgold Road. Police searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
25-013105 – 800 BLK Poindexter Avenue – Prowler – A man with a flashlight was captured by a doorbell camera walking through the resident’s yard. Police were unable to locate the suspect due to the delay between the activity and law enforcement notification.
25-013108 – 1100 BLK South Seminole Drive – Public Intoxication – ERPD received a call that a male was knocking on the RP’s door, asking him to let him in. When officers arrived, they located a male sitting down at the side door of the residence. The male identified himself. A strong odor of alcohol emitted from him, and he walked uneasily once on his feet. The man stated that he was at his family’s house, but they wouldn’t let him in. This was an issue since the people at the home had no idea who he was. The man provided a Chattanooga address. He was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-013109 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Two females were trespassed after arguing with staff about food prices. The suspects told police they were from Alabama and would never return to the establishment.
25-013110 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Mentally Disturbed – A man reported his girlfriend, “Chloe J”, had been kidnapped from the above address and was being held hostage. Officers responded to the scene, and after speaking with the man, determined he most likely was suffering a mental health episode and was being scammed by an individual posing as “Chloe J.” No evidence was ever discovered to substantiate the claim someone had been kidnapped. The caller agreed he was being scammed. EMS responded to the scene to evaluate him. EMS determined he was not a danger to himself or others; however, they stated they also believed he was suffering from a mental health episode. The party declined to be transported to a hospital for an evaluation. A miscellaneous report was completed to document the incident.
Day Shift December 21: A Squad
25-013118- 1300 BLK Laredo Avenue- Residential Fire – Police and Fire responded to this location after a bad wire was reported to be arching with sparks, igniting a fire in the yard. EPB arrived on scene to work on the electrical issue, and Fire took charge of the scene while Police provided perimeter coverage.
Night Shift December 21: C Squad
25-013131- 3300 BLK Ringgold Road- Alarm – Police were dispatched to the building for an alarm triggered by the motion sensor at the stage area. Upon arrival, the police checked all doors and windows, which appeared to be securely locked. This was the second occurrence in three days.
Day Shift December 22: B Squad
25-013141 – 5400 BLK Connell Street – Disorder / Narcotics Violation – Police responded after a party alerted police a male gave her adult son an unknown narcotic prior to leaving the residence. The party appeared to have an allergic reaction to the substance, and his mother was going to take him to the hospital. She left the scene and again alerted police to the whereabouts of the male subject. Officers located the suspect who told police he gave the party K2. He further admitted he had narcotics in his pockets. Police located 3.9 grams of suspected marijuana in his pocket. The party was taken into custody for simple possession and transported to jail without incident.
25-013143 – 3400 BLK Navajo Drive – Disorder – Officers responded on report of a male and female fighting. On scene, police determined the two were fighting with their pit bull after he tried to eat the family cat.
Night Shift December 22: D Squad
25-013147 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft in Progress / Arrest – Police responded to the report of theft. On scene, Police located the suspect outside the store and identified him. While speaking with Police, the man admitted to stealing several items and placing them in a friend’s vehicle. The store manager provided an itemized list of the stolen items which totaled over $500. The suspect was arrested and charged with Theft of Property Conduct Involving Merchandise.
25-013153 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service / Arrest – During a shoplifting investigation, Police found that the suspect had four Forfeiture Capias arrest warrants through the City of East Ridge. He was served with the arrest warrants prior to transport to the Hamilton County Jail. The original charges for the capias warrants were Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, and two counts of Theft of Property.
25-013155 – 1000 BLK John Ross Road – Property Damage – Police Officers responded to the report of a crash at this location. It was determined that a black sedan had driven around road closure barricades and sunk to the frame in wet concrete. Police also determined the vehicle broke a water line. The driver of the vehicle was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device. A representative from the Tennessee American Water Company responded to the location and evaluated the damage.
25-013159 – 1300 BLK Prater Road – Suspicious Activity – A concerned citizen reported seeing a small white sedan near a house that was under construction. The caller stated the vehicle would stop, idle for a few minutes, then drive away. Police checked the area and the construction site but did not locate the suspicious vehicle. ERPD checked the area throughout the night and did not observe any suspicious activity.
25-013162 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Deceptive Practice – A man reported a female friend had been poisoned and was in a hospital at an undisclosed location. He only knew the friend as Chloe J and stated she was from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He consented to Police reviewing his phone and messages from the female. Upon further investigation, Police Officers determined that the man was being scammed. Police advised him to block the female’s number and cease communication with her. This is the same party that reported Chloe J as kidnapped on December 20.
