Day Shift January 16: B Squad
26-000530 – 1500 BLK McBrien Road – Miscellaneous Complaint – The neighbor reported the resident had put a mattress out to the roadway for pickup, but it is on their property. They wished the item removed. Police attempted to contact the neighbor, but no one appeared to be home. The matter was referred to the Sanitation Department.
26-000532- 4214 Ringgold Rd- Harassment – The caller requested police to check the well-being of her son to prove he was safe and taken care of. ERPD observed the child at the East Ridge Police Department to be alive and well. Police advised the caller that further issues with the other party complaining on her would have to be resolved in Chattanooga due to the location of the original incident.
Night Shift January 16: D Squad
26-000539 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police were dispatched following a road rage incident in the parking lot. The parties separated before the police arrived, following the verbal altercation.
26-000546 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Officers responded to the above address for a disorder involving the clerk and three customers. The customers had left the scene before officers arrived.
Day Shift January 17: B Squad
26-000551 – 5400 BLK Ringgold Road- Forged check – Officers responded to a report of a woman attempting to cash a forged check. She was also a suspect in a prior case (25-011899) and had an active warrant for forgery. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail. The reporting party requested the suspect be trespassed from the property (26-000014). Additional charges are pending follow-up with the assigned detective.
26-000554- 3600 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a woman was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. A man was also arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Driving on a Suspended License.
26-000558 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Theft from Motor Vehicle – Officers responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at the RV park at Camp Jordan. Police contacted the victims who reported the theft of numerous personal items from the interior of their vehicle. No evidence of forced entry to the vehicle was observed. No suspect information was immediately available.
Night Shift January 17: D Squad
26-000572- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting – Police were called about a female party shoplifting from the store. The store provided a receipt for the items stolen, and the suspect was cited for misdemeanor shoplifting.
Day Shift January 18: B Squad
25-011770 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A man was served with an outstanding arrest warrant through East Ridge for Theft over $20,000 after turning himself in at the Hamilton County Jail.
26-000576 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Road– Assault – East Ridge Police responded to the above address for reports of an assault. A woman was contacted in the lobby alleging her boyfriend had assaulted her until she was able to leave the room to ask for help at the reception area of the motel. Police located the suspect and placed him under arrest for domestic assault. Both involved individuals were also issued trespass warnings at the request of staff.
26-000577-6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Domestic Disorder/Warrant Arrest – The caller reported to police that she and her ex-boyfriend had gotten into an altercation at the hotel on 1-17-2026. When she returned on 1-18 to retrieve the rest of her belongings, she found her phone had been damaged. Police located the man driving east on Ringgold Road, and his statement correlated with the owner’s statement. Both parties declined to pursue criminal charges. The man was found to have several outstanding warrants out of general sessions court. He was taken into custody and transported to jail without issue.
26-000580- 1400 BLK Sunnyfield Ln- Abandoned Auto/Arrest – Police responded to the above listed area for a Honda Civic in the roadway. A man was found in the passenger-side seat and arrested for public intoxication.
Night Shift January 18: D Squad
26-000597- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Domestic Assault – Police were called to this location in reference to a female yelling at staff that she was assaulted, and that a truck was chasing her. When officers arrived on scene, the female began stating that she needed a ride to Fort Oglethorpe and her mother was in danger. Police determined that an assault did not occur, and the female only needed ERPD for a ride. She was advised that the business did not want her to return, and the police could not give her a ride.
Day Shift January 19: A Squad
26-000612 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a motel after staff reported that tenants could not check out due to one being intoxicated. Upon arrival, the subject was found passed out on the floor. The other admitted they had been drinking all night. EMS was called, and bruising on the unconscious subject’s body suggested possible assault. The party became unresponsive and was taken to the hospital. The subject sharing the room was detained as a potential suspect. Witnesses were interviewed and gave statements. The subject was questioned, denied any altercation, and was released due to lack of evidence. Police plan to interview the other party once he regains consciousness.
26-000614 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Officers took a man into custody after turning himself in on outstanding warrants. He was transported to 601 Justice Way without incident
Night Shift January 19: C Squad
26-000622 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/ Criminal Trespass – Police Officers responded to a verbal disorder involving an employee and two customers at the hotel. A couple stated the TV was not working and requested new room. The staff refused the request and a heated argument ensued. Due to the circumstances, the guests were criminally trespassed from the property.
26-000627 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police observed a silver Ford Focus failing to maintain the lane while traveling on Ringgold Road. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded multiple items of drug paraphernalia. The driver of the vehicle was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest and the contraband items were seized.
26-000628 – 6600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / DUI Arrest – Police Officers observed a black SUV leave the gas station and make a reckless, improper turn. ERPD conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was heavily intoxicated. The party was taken into custody, charged with Driving Under the Influence, and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
26-000631 – 4900 BLK Maryland Drive– Disorder with a Weapon – A woman called the 911 Dispatch Center and stated she was assaulted by unknown female at this address. Police located her and found that the assault occurred at a friend’s house she was visiting. According to the victim, an unknown female arrived at the location, slapped her, then brandished a firearm. She further stated the suspect fled the area in a white SUV. Police officers went to the home and interviewed a resident. He stated he had been sleeping and did not know anything about an argument or an assault. Warrants are pending the positive identification of the female suspect.
