Day Shift January 21 : B Squad

26-000684-3600 BLK Fountain Avenue- Well Being Check – The caller contacted the Veterans Crisis Line requesting resources for assistance with alcohol abuse. At the time of contact, the party did not appear to be intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal symptoms but was provided with appropriate resources to assist in working toward sobriety.

26-000686- 1000 BLK Spring Creek Road- Traffic Stop – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Lincoln-Continental Town Car. The driver could not be determined at the time of the initial attempt due to proceeding into Chattanooga and avoiding the stop. Police will attempt to properly identify the driver of vehicle to seek warrants for evading.

Night Shift January 21: D Squad

26-000694 – 900 South Seminole – Unknown Trouble – ERPD responded to the above address for an unknown trouble. The RP said she heard screaming but didn’t know where it was. ERPD walked around the area and didn’t find anyone needing help. No further screaming was reported.

26-000699 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Miscellaneous Complaint – A male reported that he had gone to the above business at around midnight on 1/22. The male stated he later woke up in the back seat of his car at an unknown location with two masked men who were attempting to assault him and inject him with an unknown substance. The man said he was able to fight off the two men and later went to a hospital in Dalton, GA. On-call CID was notified. A miscellaneous report was completed because it was unclear if any crime occurred in East Ridge.

No ER Number- South Moore Road/ South Terrace- Assist Other Agency – Police were dispatched to assist the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office after the car they were in pursuit of crashed. East Ridge Police assisted by deploying a drone to find the second suspect in the vehicle. It was discovered that there was only one occupant of the vehicle, and he was taken into custody by HCSO.
