Day Shift July 23: B Squad

26-006959- 6500 BLK Slater Road- Miscellaneous – The caller reported that hotel management became upset over wooden pallets left behind her store. She stated the pallets were located on antique mall property, not hotel property. Hotel management advised the pallets make the hotel look bad and expressed frustration that police were not requiring their removal.

Night Shift July 23: D Squad

NO CASE #- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – Police served a man with an outstanding East Ridge arrest warrant while in custody at Hamilton County Jail. The charge was Theft of Property.

26-006967 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Hold – Whitfield County Deputies located a wanted party and contacted ERPD to verify a warrant. Officers confirmed an Alias Capias warrant with an original charge of resisting arrest. While waiting for verification, Whitfield Deputies developed original charges, and he was transported to the Whitfield County Jail. A hold request for was sent.

6-006972- 5700 BLK Roper Street- Domestic Disorder – The caller reported that her wife was attempting to take her phone while on the phone with 911. Both parties claimed the other assaulted them. Police were unable to determine a primary aggressor.

Dick Cook has lived in East Ridge since the Kennedy Administration when his parents bought a house on Marietta Street. Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. Dick worked for the Chattanooga Free-Press and the Chattanooga Times Free Press for 22 years. Free-Press Sports Editor Roy Exum plucked him out of production in 1989 and gave him a job as a sports reporter. Dick covered everything from prep sports to the whitewater events on the Ocoee River for the 1996 Olympics. When Chattanooga's two paper's merged, he became the Crime Reporter covering both the Chattanooga Police and Fire Departments. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
