Day Shift June 18: A Squad
26-005665 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Service – Police executed an East Ridge warrant for Petition to Revoke after the suspect was transported to Hamilton County Jail by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
26-005661 – 100 BLK Bales Avenue – Domestic Disorder – A resident called police after her adult son got into an argument with her. He left prior to police arrival, and she was encouraged to call back if he returned.
26-005666 – 3900 BLK Ringgold Rd – Criminal Impersonation – A patrol officer observed a vehicle attempting to evade but was able to get the vehicle stopped near the 3900 Block of Ringgold Rd. The passenger lied about his name due to outstanding warrants. He was arrested for criminal impersonation along with the warrants.
Night Shift June 18: C Squad
26-005669 – 5700 BLK Roper Street– Mental Health – Police responded to a domestic disorder involving a mother and her adult daughter. On scene, police found the mother was upset that she could not find her keys. She blamed her daughter and accused her of stealing them. Police then observed the keys on a lanyard around the mother’s neck. After discussing options, the mother agreed to stay with her son for the evening to de-escalate the situation.
26-005670 – 1000 BLK Floyd Drive – Psychiatric Emergency – A party contacted the Volunteer Behavioral Health services and stated he wanted to harm himself with a weapon. He was upset about a recent break-up with his girlfriend. Police responded to the residence, but the male subject would not communicate with them. A dispatcher was able to contact the male by phone and discuss the situation. After a short negotiation, the male subject met police at the front door, and he was escorted to an ambulance. The male was then transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
26-005671 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Suspicious Activity – A concerned citizen reported seeing a man in dark clothing park a bicycle near City Hall. The suspicious male then walked into the wooded area next to several residential homes. Police checked the area and located the man who was identified. Patrol discussed the situation with him and how his actions looked suspicious. He denied having any criminal intentions or other wrongdoing. Police checked the man for warrants and sent him on his way.
26-005675 – Interstate 24, MM 182 – Assist Other Agency – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment on the interstate. Due to the location, CPD requested the assistance of East Ridge Police Officers for traffic control. Two officers responded and blocked traffic lanes which allowed EMS to transport a patient in critical condition to a local hospital.
26-005678 – 1600 BLK Keeble Street – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – An officer conducted a traffic stop with a Dodge sedan for an expired registration. During the stop, police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which yielded 0.3 grams of suspected cocaine powder and drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for Simple Possession along with a traffic citation for the expired registration.
