Day Shift June 24: B Squad

26-004507- 5400 BLK Dupont Street- Stolen Vehicle recovery – Police recovered a stolen white Buick on Dupont Street. The vehicle was removed from NCIC and towed to ERPD impound for CID processing. Canvass revealed no suspect information; residents stated the vehicle had been parked there since May. No video footage was located.

26-005857-5700 BLK Roper Street-Vandalism – A resident reported to police he exited his residence and found the dashboard under the steering wheel of his vehicle and the ignition switch had been vandalized. The damage was consistent with previously reported auto thefts of keyless entry Kia vehicles. No suspect information is available, report on file.

Night Shift June 24: D Squad

26-005881 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – Officers served two warrants on a man who was in custody at Hamilton County Jail.

26-005883 – South Seminole Drive / Crabtree Drive East – Traffic Stop/ Narcotics – ERPD conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of South Seminole Drive and Crabtree Drive on a black Chevrolet pick-up truck failing to maintain lane. The driver had active warrants through Walker County, GA. ERPD K9 positively alerted on the vehicle for illegal narcotics. Officers searched for the vehicle, and a half ounce of methamphetamine was located inside. The driver was placed in custody and taken to Hamilton County jail.

26-005887-6200 BLK Ringgold Road- AOA/Arrest – Police stopped a man for a bicycle violation. Officers conducted an ID inquiry through dispatch and found he had two outstanding warrants through Criminal Court. The original charges were possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and violation of probation. The subject was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
