Day Shift June 5: B Squad

25-012763 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – A man was served with warrants for Theft Over $2500 and Driving Without a License while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

Night Shift June 5: D Squad

26-005249 – 3400 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI / Narcotics Arrest – An ERPD Officer noticed a stationary vehicle that appeared to have possibly hit the gas pumps. Officers contacted a male who was extremely intoxicated. Patrol noticed empty Modelo beer cans in the car and an open container in the cup holder. The officers were unable to conduct standardized field sobriety tests on the driver. He was placed under arrest and taken to jail. Illegal narcotics were also found on the individual. No damage was done to any gas pumps.

Day Shift June 6: B Squad

26-005253-6600 BLK Ringgold Road-Suspicious Person – Police responded on a report of a female subject checking doors at the hotel. Officers located the woman at the gas station a short time later. The female subject was later identified and was found to have an outstanding warrant out of General Sessions Court, after she initially gave officers on scene a fake name that did not return to anyone. She was also found to be in possession of approximately 0.04 grams of fentanyl after a search incident to arrest for the outstanding warrant. On the way to the jail, she admitted to police that she ingested a bag of methamphetamine prior to police contact. Patrol diverted to a hospital and the woman was turned over to the custody of a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy working an extra job in the ER. Warrants for possession of fentanyl, criminal impersonation, and possession of drug paraphernalia are pending.

26-005255- 700 BLK Brookfield Avenue- Theft – The resident reported an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle overnight and stole a black .38 revolver, Android phone, and wallet containing debit and credit cards. No suspect information or video footage is available currently.

26-005260- 3300 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – Following a suspicious person call, a man was taken into custody for driving under the influence and open container law. He was transported to Hamilton County Jail.

Night Shift June 6: D Squad

26-005276 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – A mother and her three school-aged children were observed stealing several items of merchandise from the market. The family purchased around $40 in merchandise and left the store after concealing body oil, men’s cologne, and multiple squishy toys valued at $90. The family departed in a silver Nissan Rogue (possibly a 2010 model) with an unreadable temporary tag and white, unreadable lettering displayed on the upper part of the back window.

No Complaint # – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/Warrant Arrest – An ERPD officer initiated a traffic stop on an orange Dodge Charger that did not have tag lights. Upon contacting the occupants, the driver had a valid warrant for her arrest out of the Sessions Court. The driver was taken into custody and transported to detention without incident.

Day Shift June 7: B Squad

26-005296- 6700 BLK Ringgold Road-Disorder – Police responded to a report of a disorder between a male and female who was refusing to exit his vehicle. Officers got out with the two subjects at the motel a short time later. The disorder was found to be verbal only and the two parties went their separate ways without issue.

Night Shift June 7: D Squad

26-005303 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Road – Suspicious Person – A resident reported a man walking back and forth past his house in the rain several times and wearing different outfits. On one pass, the walker made aggressive hand gestures, holding up the middle finger and reaching behind his back. Police identified the suspicious person as a nearby resident. No criminal or city ordinance violations were observed during the encounter, and the man insisted he was just going for a walk.

26-005311 – 3600 BLK South Germantown Road – Traffic Stop – Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a gray Nissan Rogue for a light law violation. Upon the officer activating emergency lighting, the driver of the Rogue took evasive action, and the officer lost sight of the vehicle. A search of the area was conducted, and the vehicle was located abandoned on Old Ringgold Road behind a motel. The vehicle was seized and towed to the police impound lot.

Day Shift June 8: A Squad

26-005314- 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Traffic Stop – While on routine patrol, police observed a red Honda CRZ without a registration displayed. While speaking with driver, police observed a burnt cigarillo consistent with marijuana use located inside the driver side door compartment. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle and found 4.9g of marijuana and a glass pipe with white residue consistent with methamphetamine use. ERPD seized the narcotics and paraphernalia and issued several citations.

26-005315 – 3600 BLK Wimberly Lane – Property / Recovered Firearms – A concerned citizen phoned the police after noticing a handgun in the middle of the street. Officers conducted a sweep of the area and discovered a second handgun in the yard of the property adjacent to the first firearm location. The firearms, a Glock 19 with an extended magazine and a Sar9, were turned into East Ridge Property and Evidence. The weapons were eventually linked to the evading case involving the Nissan Rogue.

26-005319- 3600 BLK Wimberly Lane- Warrant Service – Police were contacted by a woman regarding her “stolen” vehicle, a gray Nissan Rogue. In an interview with detectives, she recanted her statement and admitted her roommate was in possession of the vehicle at the time of the pursuit. The subject was identified as the offender from an earlier evading. Police relocated and surrounded the residence due to the man’s outstanding probation violation warrants out of Catoosa County for home invasion, aggravated assault x3, and aggravated cruelty to children x3. He was taken into custody for those warrants without incident.

Night Shift June 8: C Squad

26-005354 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Vehicle – An employee at the hotel reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. The employee stated the vehicle was occupied and kept randomly turning its lights on and off. Police Officers located the vehicle and identified the driver. Patrol determined that he was sitting with the vehicle while it was at a charging station. Police observed no criminal activity at the location
