Law and Order March 3

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift February 27: B Squad

26-001784-1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street-Disorder – The caller reported to police that a female subject was refusing to leave her hotel room and had taken her backpack. She stated he did not wish to prosecute for the theft but simply wanted her belongs back and for the female party to leave her alone. Officers spoke to the female subject in question and advised her to return the backpack. She complied with officers on scene and moved along without issue.

26-001788-1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Mental Health – Police contacted a woman and her son at the inn regarding a domestic disorder. The son appeared extremely agitated and was believed to be experiencing a schizophrenic episode, during which he reportedly became physically aggressive toward his mother. He was transported on a mental health hold without incident.

26-001796 – 1300 BLK Ridgefield Circle – Traumatic Injury – Police responded to the above address in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Officers found the subject complaining of a minor laceration with light bleeding. Fire and EMS treated the patient, and EMS transported the party to a local hospital for evaluation.

Night Shift February 27 : D Squad

26-001804 – 3900 BLK Bennett Road – Domestic Disorder – A woman called 911 emergency services, screaming “get out,” and then hung up. Police interviewed the caller and her boyfriend and determined that the disorder was verbal in nature. Both parties were separated by their own will.

No Case Number- Pinewood Avenue at Tunnel Boulevard- Assist Other Agency – ERPD assisted CPD after they got a call about a possible stolen car on Bacon Trail. The truck was involved in a hit-and-run on Dodds Avenue at Main Street. ERPD went out and verified that this was the truck in question and assisted CPD to locate the suspect as he had fled on foot. The suspect made multiple calls to 911, stating he was in the woods and would turn himself in. Ultimately, that never happened, and he was not located.

No Case Number- 5500 BLK Brainard Road- Assist Other Agency – ERPD was requested to assist with crowd control after a shooting took place in Brainerd. ERPD remained on scene until the crowd dispersed.

Day Shift February 28: B Squad

No Case Number- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant – A hold was placed with the Walker County Sherrif’s Office for a woman who had active warrants out of East Ridge for possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

26-001820 – 700 BLK Germantown Circle – Unknown Trouble – Police responded in reference to an individual yelling for help. The apartment’s occupants advised that their father had taken the child’s phone which led to the child yelling for help. Tenants of the surrounding apartments stated that the yelling happens frequently.

26-001821- 1200 BLK South Seminole Drive- Disorder – Staff at the church requested police response for an unruly father using profanity and making threats to one of the other fathers while their kids were there for a recreational basketball game. Little suspect information could be obtained, but police recommended for the staff to call again in the future to trespass the male suspect.

Night Shift February 28 : D Squad

26-001836-1400 BLK Spring Creek Road-Traffic Stop/DUI Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Toyota sedan after observing it drag racing in the 5500 block of Ringgold. A man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and drag racing.

26-001837- 5900 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/ DUI Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a blue Hyundai Sonata after observing it drag racing in the 5500 block of Ringgold Road. A man was taken into custody and charged with suspicion of DUI, possessing a firearm while intoxicated, and drag racing.

26-001840 – Frederick Drive / Bennett Road – Shots Fired – While investigating reports of a suspicious vehicle, police observed sounds of gunshots in the vicinity of Frederick Drive near John Ross Road. Officers checked the area but did not locate indications of gunshots.

Day Shift March 1: B Squad

26-001845- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Domestic Disorder/Arrest – A disorder complaint came out at this location after a woman became confrontational within the residence by arguing, throwing dishes across the living room, attempting to break the television, and spitting on her father. A woman and her teenaged daughter were present during the incident but did not want to press charges. The suspect was taken into custody for domestic assault and transported to Hamilton County Jail without further incident.

Night Shift March 1 : D Squad

26-001856 & 26-001860 – 1500 BLK South Rugby Place – Animal Call – A large white dog was reported roaming the neighborhood, unleashed. While searching the area, police were flagged down by a resident on foot who reported a large white dog that ran toward him while he was bicycling earlier that day. Police located the dog owner who apologized and said the dog escaped from the fenced yard. The complainant was advised to call East Ridge Animal Services during regular business hours if he wants to make a formal complaint about his neighbor’s dog.

26-001861- 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person – Police got a call about a male walking down the roadway and almost getting hit by multiple vehicles. ERPD was unable to locate anyone in the roadway.

26-001864 – 1500 BLK Springvale Road – Domestic Assault – A man was arrested and charged with domestic assault against his son after police responded to this address for an unknown 911 call.

Day Shift March 2: A Squad

26-001879 – 6800 BLK Martha Avenue – Deceptive Practice – Police called the resident at this address regarding a scam call she received. The resident stated an unknown male claiming to be border patrol said she had warrants for her arrest. Police were unable to verify any warrants, and the resident was advised to cease contact with the scammer.

26-001881-300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – AOA – Police were alerted by the TBI and Sumner County Sheriff’s office regarding a tip about a missing juvenile. On 2/26/26 at approximately 1330hrs a concerned citizen stated she saw a juvenile riding his bike in the area matching the description of a missing juvenile out of Sumner County. Police attempted to locate the vehicle via multiple techniques but were unable due to minimal identifiers.

26-01884 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police were dispatched to the gas station regarding a male yelling and trying to fight a customer. Officers spoke with a party who stated, he was upset at another man. Police spoke with the other man who stated the aggressor believed he burned his tent. He denied the accusation which led to the argument. Management advised they wanted aggressor trespassed from the location.

Night Shift March 2 : C Squad

26-001888 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft in Progress – Police Officers responded to a theft in progress at the grocery store. Officers immediately detained three individuals who matched the suspect descriptions. Upon further investigation, it was determined the three individuals worked together to steal $143 worth of food from the grocery store. One agreed to pay for the stolen merchandise which had already been placed in her truck. Management did not wish to charge the three individuals with theft but criminally trespassed them from the property.

26-001895 – 100 BLK South Seminole Drive, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge officers responded to the report of a roll-over crash on South Seminole Drive. Officers eventually located the crash in Chattanooga and worked to contain the accident scene. Officers also checked the area for a driver who fled on foot; however, he was not located. Chattanooga Police Officers responded to the crash scene and took over the investigation.
