Day Shift February 28
25-002116- 4214 Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – A man turned himself in on two East Ridge warrants for Animal Cruelty and False Reports and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-002117 – 600 BLK Marlboro Avenue – Check for a Hazard – A concerned citizen reported glass on the roadway. On scene, officers observed several smatterings of glass extending from S Terrace to Fountain Avenue. The Street Department was notified to remove the hazard.
25-002123 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – SIA / Arrest – A white sedan was observed in the parking lot with the driver asleep in the driver’s seat. Upon approaching the vehicle multiple open containers could be observed in plain view. The driver was arrested for Suspicion of DUI and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-002130 – 3600 BLK Fountain Ave – Suspicious Person – Police responded to this address at the request of the apartment leasing office regarding a female who claimed responsibility for a shooting on Fagan Street. Officers identified the individual. During the interaction, she exhibited difficulty maintaining a coherent train of thought. She stated that she was not involved in a shooting but believed one might occur based on information she had heard through the ‘grapevine.’ When asked if she required any assistance, she declined and indicated that she would stay at a residence across the street, where she had been residing for several weeks.
25-002131- 3200 BLK Ringgold Road- Back Other Agency – THP requested units to this location in reference to a possible DUI/ Narcotics violation investigation involving three unruly occupants of a black Honda sedan. ERPD stood by while THP conducted their investigation.
Night Shift February 28
25-002139 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Theft – Police responded to a theft at the above location. The victim stated she had left her purse in the restroom, and when she returned to retrieve it, $400 had been stolen. During the investigation, police determined an employee had taken the money. The employee turned over the cash, which was returned to the victim. The victim declined prosecution for the theft.
25-002140-5500 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/Warrant Service – ERPD served five Sessions Warrants on a man and one on a woman after conducting a traffic stop. Both parties were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
Day Shift March 1
25-002153-7100 BLK Tanager CT-Disorder/Warrant Arrest – Police responded to the listed address for a disorder between a man and his ex-wife over child custody issues. The man was found to have an outstanding warrant for Violation of an Order of Protection. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without issue.
25-002174 – 6500 BLK RINGGOLD RD – Theft / Arrest – ERPD was waved down by an employee of the motel. A customer was inside the lobby and stated a female he let take a shower in his room had stolen his wallet and ran towards a nearby business. ERPD was able to contact the subject who had multiple warrants out of Collegedale PD. The victim’s wallet was recovered in a nearby parking lot, but didn’t want to press charges. The woman was transported to Hamilton County Jail on Collegedale warrants.
25-002177 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Rd– Commercial Fire – Police and the ERFD were dispatched to this location in response to a commercial fire alarm. Upon arrival, police observed smoke emanating from the rear exterior corner of the building at ground level, though no visible flames were present. ERFD personnel arrived and identified hot embers within the wall at the source of the smoke. No injuries were reported. The scene was turned over to ERFD for further investigation.
Night Shift March 1
25-002181-3243 Castle Ave.- Disorder/Arrest – Police responded to the listed address regarding a party the homeowner wanted removed from the property. The caller stated that the man was at the residence causing a disorder and needed to leave. Police arrived on the scene and conducted a records check through dispatch for the subject. He had an active East Ridge arrest warrant for violating a protection order. The party was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
25-002188 – 500 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Citizen Assist – A patron called to report that someone had walked off with his cell phone. Management allowed police to access their computer and assisted the victim with “find my phone.” Officers located the phone abandoned on the back of a parked vehicle parked at a nearby business.
25-002197 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest Warrant – A woman was taken into custody on shoplifting warrants out of Catoosa County and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail, where she is being held until extradition to Georgia.
25-002199-5300 BLK Ringgold Rd– Unconscious/ Arrest – Police were notified about a male party that was unconscious at the red light at Mcbrien Road and Ringgold Road. Officers attempted to wake the driver. The driver proceeded to flip off the officers and disregard commands to put the car in park. The male then attempted to get out of the vehicle while it was in drive. The vehicle rolled forward and crashed into a patrol vehicle. Officers attempted to take the suspect into custody but met resistance to arrest. The male was drive-stunned to gain compliance. The suspect was arrested for DUI, Resisting Arrest, Due Care, and driving without a license.
25-002200 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Intoxicated Person – Police assisted EMS with an intoxicated female who was experiencing an adverse response to alcohol use. EMS transported the patient.
25-002221-5400 BLK Ringgold Rd-Well Being Check – Police responded to a female, possibly unconscious.
Day Shift March 2
25-002205 – 1300 BLK St Thomas Street – Disorder – A party called police to report his roommate had put hydrogen peroxide in his tea. The roommate was visibly upset regarding the accusations. Both parties were told and agreed to separate until things cool down.
25-002208 – 1500 BLK S Mack Smith Road – LPR Hit / Warrant Service / Narcotics Violation – Crime Suppression located a vehicle wanted in connection to a Burglary & Theft after receiving a LPR hit. Patrol units conducted a felony stop on the vehicle in the 1500 block of S Mack Smith Road. The driver had active warrants out of Sessions Court for a burglary. He was also found to be in possession of .83 grams of suspected meth.
Night Shift March 2
25-002226 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation – A woman was arrested for Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after she was observed by police smoking fentanyl from foil in front of business.
Day Shift March 3
25-002240 – 1600 BLK Glowmont Drive – Found Property – Police were called to the church after a black backpack was found in the bushes. The backpack and contents were placed into ERPD Property and Evidence for safekeeping.
No case number- 400 BLK Mcbrien Rd.- Field Interview- Police got out with a vehicle parked behind the store. Officers observed a male sleeping in the driver seat of the vehicle. The driver advised he was homeless and was looking for a place to sleep. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
25-002248- 4200 BLK Spriggs St.- Suspicious Person – Police spoke with a man who was doing door to door sales for Verizon Telecommunications. Officers advised him he needed a permit to conduct sales in the city. However, the man advised he did not have a permit with him but did say his boss had them. He called his boss but was unable to produce the any documentation. He was advised to cease his sales until a permit could be produced.
Night Shift March 3
25-002261 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Suspicious Activity – The staff reported an unknown substance was found near a patient in the Emergency Room. Police confiscated the substance and found it was made up of several small white crystals, possibly methamphetamine. The substance was placed in the ERPD Property Room for destruction.
25-002260 – 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a party was served with a Petition to Revoke Capias through the City of East Ridge. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Possession of Methamphetamine.
25-002258 – 600 BLK Belvoir Avenue – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – During a traffic stop, police found a passenger had an arrest warrant through Walker County, GA. The subject was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail to await extradition. The charge on the arrest warrant was Possession of Methamphetamine.
