Day Shift March 5: B Squad

26-002001-1000 BLK Bass Pro Drive-Assist Other Agency – Police were dispatched to the Bass Pro on a report of a possible stolen firearm. Upon further investigation, the firearm in question was found to have been misplaced by UPS while in transit between Tennessee and Georgia. Officers verified that the firearm was at its intended destination and removed it from NCIC.

Night Shift March 5 : D Squad

26-002010 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – The clerk reported that a customer verbally accosted him and spat at him after having trouble using the air pump. The suspect was gone before the police arrived. No indications of a physical assault were observed.

26-002011 – 500 BLK Wando Drive – Domestic Disorder – A resident reported observing a commotion in the street between two adults in the presence of their children. The couple stated that the argument was about their recent breakup. The altercation was verbal in nature, and no assault was reported. Both willfully separated.

26-002015-5700 BLK Ringgold Rd-Traffic Stop/Arrest – Police observed a bicyclist traveling the wrong way in a directional bike lane and operating the bike without a forward-facing light. An officer stopped the cyclist and identified him. A probable cause of search revealed 18.4 Grams of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-002016- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Assault – At approximately 2041 hours, officers responded to a reported assault. Officers spoke with the victim who appeared to be intoxicated and gave conflicting statements about being struck by a musician after criticizing the performance. Officers observed no visible injuries. The manager stated that customers reported the man had been yelling at the musician and went on stage to confront him. The musician reportedly pushed the unsatisfied audience member away and told him to return to his seat before leaving. No video footage or witness statements were available.

26-002020- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder – At approximately 2325 hours, officers responded to the motel for a report of a male and female yelling at each other. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female reporting party, who stated that her boyfriend had already left and that the incident was solely a verbal argument with no physical altercation.

26-002023-3700 BLK Fountain Avenue-Domestic Disorder – Dispatch received a call and the call taker could hear arguments in the background. The female caller stated her boyfriend was throwing things and yelling. On scene, the female made allegations of assault, but so did the male. Officer could not find any corroborating evidence to support either claim.
