Law and Order May 7

The following information is courtesy of the East Ridge Police Department.

Day Shift May 6: A Squad

26-004151 – 3300 Navajo Drive – Shots Fired – Police saturated the area of Navajo Drive and Alice Drive after a resident reported hearing a single gunshot south of Navajo. No obvious signs of nefarious activity were observed.

26-004152 – 10 BLK Stadium Way – Suspicious Person/Aggravated Assault – Police received a report of a male driving a dark gray Toyota Corolla, bearing GA tags who may have struck a fence at the stadium and then attempted to leave the scene. When confronted by the reporting party, the driver allegedly threw a football-sized rock at him causing the reporting party to fear for his safety. The rock missed the individual but struck the reporting party’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene and has not yet been identified. Warrants for aggravated assault will be sought once the individual is identified.

26-004143- Claremont Avenue/ Germantown Road- Animal Call – Police were dispatched to the area to assist a citizen with recovering a kitten. On arrival the female stated she saw a kitten get washed down the drains next to the road due to the heavy rains. Police were unable to locate the animal despite searching the inlet and surrounding area.

Night Shift May 6: C Squad

26-004163 – 1300 BLK South Seminole Drive – Motor Vehicle Crash / Arrest for Other Agency – Police responded to a single vehicle crash with no injuries. A passenger in the vehicle was found to have a warrant through Hamilton County Sessions Court. The warrant was a Probationary Capias with an original charge of Evading Arrest. The wanted party was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.

26-004169 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a fight at the establishment on Ringgold Road. Several patrons advised that multiple individuals were actively fighting in the parking lot. On scene, Police found that the fight was over and one individual appeared to be injured. Patrol determined that three people were playing pool when another man initiated an argument inside the building. The incident eventually moved to the parking lot when yet another man joined the fracas. Officers found that one participant had a minor shoulder injury and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. All parties involved refused to prosecute for the incident.

26-004172 – 5300 Anderson Avenue – Road Hazard – While patrolling neighborhoods, an East Ridge Police located two trees that had fallen and blocked the roadway. Additional officers responded and blocked off the area. East Ridge Fire Fighters responded to the location and cleared the trees.

26-004175 – I-75 Southbound MM 0.2 – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police Officers responded to a request for assistance from the Chattanooga Police Department. A Chattanooga officer had located a stolen tractor trailer truck and conducted a felony stop with it. East Ridge officers and additional Chattanooga officers safely talked the driver out of the vehicle and detained him. Patrol then cleared the vehicle and found no one else in it. Chattanooga Police took control of the scene and completed their investigation.
