Day Shift May 8
25-004883 – 3700 BLK Fountain Avenue – Disorder/Burglary – Police spoke with the complainant who stated he had seen three males looking through his car, which contained multiple tools and parts. The males left the scene and were seen going to another, nearby complex. The reporting party stated he did not want to press charges since none of his belongings were missing.
25-004871- 900 BLK Spring Creek Rd.- Suspicious Person – Police responded on reports of a male refusing to leave. Officers spoke with the subject who advised he was waiting for his girlfriend. He was found to have a warrant out of session court. After being taken into custody and transported to the jail without incident, he was trespassed from the hospital.
25-004879- 4214 Ringgold Rd- Property – Police were advised by a citizen that she had found a debit card while walking around Pioneer Park. The item was placed into property for safekeeping.
Night Shift May 8
Road Status: – 1000 Wynnwood Road closed due to fallen trees and down wires. EPB on-scene working the issue. Estimated time to re-open is to be determined. – 3200 Blackhawk Trail closed due to a fallen tree and down wires. EPB on-scene working the issue. Estimated time to re-open is to be determined.
Power Outages: – Residential power outages have been reported in the areas of Blackhawk Trail, 1000 South Seminole Road, and Mount Belvoir Road. EPB is aware of the problems and is working to resolve them.
25-004914 – City of East Ridge – Road Hazards and Down Wires – Following a severe storm, units from the East Ridge Police, Fire, and Street Departments responded to several fallen trees, down wires, and debris on the roadways. A total of seven roads were temporarily shut down while work crews removed fallen trees and large branches. Police and Fire units also worked to clear several roadways of tree branches and other small road hazards.
25-004910 – I-24 Eastbound, MM 182, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – East Ridge Police responded to a report of a fallen tree on Eastbound I-24. Police located the tree in Chattanooga and determined it was blocking a lane of travel in a dangerous curve. Chattanooga units were unable to respond, so ERPD officers utilized a tow strap to drag the tree off the roadway.
25-004912– 601 Justice Way – Warrant Service – While in custody at the Hamilton County Jail, a man was served with an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge. The charge on the arrest warrant was False Reports.
25-004917 – 1700 BLK Keeble Street – Assist Citizen – While on patrol, Police observed a female sitting outside of the market after business hours. Police approached the female and found she was a juvenile from Chatsworth, GA. The female stated she had been staying with a friend in Rossville, GA. She and the friend had a falling out, so she left his home on foot. The juvenile’s grandmother was contacted, and she responded to pick-up her granddaughter.
