25-011604 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane – Domestic Disorder – A woman reported her son became aggressive towards her in a verbal altercation causing her to strike him to make him leave her alone. When police spoke with the suspect, he would not provide an account of the strike or the location where it landed and only claimed his mother smokes meth, which possibly causes her to overreact to situations. He was later found to have an extraditable warrant through Georgia and was transported to the Hamilton County Jail. A report was completed about the incident.

25-011607- 5400 BLK Oakdale Ave.-Traffic Stop/ Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a female refused to identify herself and was taken into custody. She was later identified and found to have active warrant through Hamilton County Criminal Court for a violation of probation, with an original charge of contraband in a penal institution. She was also charged with criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

25-011614- 4100 BLK East Ridge Avenue- Dogs on the Loose – Officers spoke with two residents who reported their cats were attacked and killed by two loose dogs matching the same descriptions. Animal Services identified the dogs as belonging to a nearby resident, who has a history of her animals getting loose and roaming the neighborhood. Due to this continual issue, warrants are pending for animals at large.

Night Shift November 4: D Squad

25-011624 – 4150 Monroe Street – Disorder With a Weapon – Officers responded to the store for a fight and were advised that a male party had displayed a firearm during the altercation. Police determined that three men engaged in a physical altercation, which led to one male being struck in the face with a closed fist, one being threatened with a hammer, and one drawing a firearm on the other two. All parties involved claimed self-defense. The investigating Officer will review security camera footage to determine a primary aggressor. The primary aggressor(s) will be charged accordingly based on video evidence.

25-011630 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Ram for failure to stop at a red light. When contact was made with the driver, she started to act very nervously and tucked her apron between her legs. She was asked to exit the vehicle for further investigation. Police requested K9, and upon arrival, the driver admitted to ERPD that she did have narcotics inside the car. The K9 displayed indications of a positive narcotic sniff off the vehicle, and a probable cause search was conducted. Inside a safe, disguised as a book, officers located suspected fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. The woman was taken into custody and charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-011632-20 BLK Woodard Cir-Mental Crisis/MVC – Police were called to this address for a male lying on the front porch of the residence, screaming for 911. When officers arrived on scene, the male immediately put his hands in the air and surrendered. When asked why he was surrendering, the man stated that he had evaded the police, crashed his car, and fled on foot. Officers checked with all surrounding agencies, and no agency was involved in the pursuit of the vehicle. Police located the wrecked vehicle at Ringgold Road and Lockhart Lane. Officers then called for EMS due to the subject claiming his leg was broken. EMS transported the male to the hospital, where it was determined he was experiencing a mental crisis. He was left in the care of hospital staff.

25-011633 – 1400 BLK North Smith Road – Disorder – The night clerk of the inn reported that a homeless man fell asleep in the breakfast room. When he was awakened, he refused to leave. Police quickly gained cooperation from the man and then provided a courtesy ride to his mom’s house.
