Day Shift October 1: Bravo Team

26-009459-6700 BLK Ringgold Road-Theft from a Vehicle – The owner reported that he found his handgun and iPad had been stolen from his truck after it was mistakenly left unlocked overnight. The owner will call back when he obtains the serial number for the firearm; no suspect information is available currently.

26-009471- 1600 BLK South Clayton Avenue- Unknown Trouble/ Mental Health – Police were called about a male standing in the front yard of this residence waving a firearm around, stating people were in the trees trying to kill him. Police contacted the subject still in the front yard holding the firearm in his hand. The man dropped the pistol when issued commands by patrol. The man was taken into protective custody and transported for a mental health and medical evaluation.

26-009475- 4214 Ringgold Road- SIA – Officers observed a man driving his father’s red truck past them. Police made multiple attempts to locate, but he continued to evade their efforts. The party ultimately made it home, but warrants are pending for driving on a revoked license for DUI.

Night Shift October 1: Delta Team

26-009481 – 900 BLK Sunny Dell Circle – Suspicious Activity – A resident reported hearing footsteps in the woods behind her residence and requested police check the area for homeless camps. Patrol checked the area of woods from Altamaha at Anderson behind Sunny Dell Circle and the area behind the theater. No signs of new homeless encampments were observed.

26-009496-South Germantown at South Terrace-Traffic Stop/ Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Following a probable cause search of the vehicle, police located 3.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, a firearm, scale, and items of paraphernalia. The driver was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without Incident.

26-009497-6200 BLK Ringgold Road-Unconscious Person/DUI Arrest – Police responded to this location after a caller reported that a driver was passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the drive-through line. Following an investigation, the driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

26-009498 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – SIA/ Narcotics Arrest/ Weapon Seizure – An ERPD officer conducted a stop on a vehicle. The officer located a magnetic box containing methamphetamine under the vehicle during a consent search. Officers also gained consent to search the room, locating a scale, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a firearm. The suspect admitted to trading illegal narcotics for the pistol and admitted to selling illegal narcotics. He was taken into custody.
