Law and Order Oct. 7

Day Shift October 6: Bravo Team

No Case # – 1517 Tombras Avenue-Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for theft of property while at East Ridge City Court; she was transported to the jail without issue.

26-009647 – 1417 St. Thomas Street – Civil Matter – Police responded to assist with an argumentative guest. On scene, police were advised the guest requested a refund; however, due to the booking method they used, the staff was able to conduct the transaction, and she would have to wait ten days to receive her refund. After officers confirmed the staff’s policy, the guest understood and there was no further issue.

Night Shift October 6: Delta Team

26-009664 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road Room – Disorder – Officers responded regarding a disorder involving a man who was reportedly screaming and throwing furniture. Officers were advised that the man had made statements about placing a bomb and stated that someone would die. Due to the reported threats, his behavior, and smoke observed inside the room, officers established a perimeter and made multiple verbal attempts to gain compliance before breaching the door. The subject was located locked inside the bathroom, where he continued yelling incoherently and refused commands to exit. Officers breached the bathroom door, removed him, and placed him into protective custody. HCEMS declined transport, and so patrol transported the man for a psychiatric evaluation.

26-009656 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Narcotics Violation – A security guard recovered what he suspected to be drug paraphernalia. The property was transported to the police department and submitted for destruction.

26-009657 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Assault in Progress – Hospital staff reported a patient being combative with security. Patrol successfully de-escalated the situation so that nurses could treat the patient. Police determined no assault had occurred.

26-009662 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody during a traffic stop conducted by the Chattanooga Police Department, located in the 2500 block of E 14th Street. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail, where she was served with an East Ridge warrant for Petition to Revoke for the 2nd Revocation for the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

26-009664 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road Room – Disorder – Officers responded regarding a disorder involving a man who was reportedly screaming and throwing furniture. 26-009665 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was in custody at the Hamilton County Jail when he was served with a Forfeiture Capias warrant from East Ridge for the original DUI charge (W692679018).
