Law and Order October 23

Day Shift October 22 : A Squad

25-011128 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Vandalism – The owner of the coin laundry reported an ongoing issue with a male suspect who disassembles the panels of washing machines to access the rear. This occurs early in the morning, when fewer customers are around. The suspect searches for loose change left in the machines, causing around $250 in damage. The owner intends to press charges for vandalism, but the suspect has not yet been identified.

25-011144 – 100 BLK Interstate 75NB – Backup Other Agency – Officers assisted GSP in conducting a traffic stop following an LPR hit. The vehicle was searched, and numerous stolen Apple products were seized for an ongoing investigation with the Department of Homeland Security. The subject was taken into custody and transported on an extraditable warrant.

25-011132-4300 BLK Esterbrook Drive- Child locked in a vehicle – Police were dispatched to this address after a toddler locked his mom out of the car and himself in the car. The mother attempted to reason with the child, however, was unsuccessful in her attempt. Fire rescue arrived on scene and promptly got the car door open.

25-011139-700 BLK Astor Lane- Theft in Progress – Police were dispatched to this address after a neighbor reported two individuals attempting to take a generator. Upon arrival, officers detained a male and female while investigating the situation. The pair insisted the generator was free, pointing to a sign they claimed was behind it. After contacting the site foreman, police learned the generator was indeed broken, and the foreman had placed a “Free” sign on it. With the situation clarified, the individuals were released and sent on their way.

25-011147-4214 Ringgold Rd.-Deceptive Practice – Police spoke with a party who advised his son had bought an aquarium online, listed at $16,000. When the son did not initially make the purchase, he received a text message saying the dealer would take 50% off. Eventually, the son made the purchase for $8,000. When the product arrived, the male said it looked like a “toy.” The man attempted to contact the seller but was met with silence. He additionally made a report with the bank to reclaim his funds.

Night Shift October 22: C Squad

25-011152 – 4900 BLK Court Drive – Property Damage – The caller reported five dogs came into her yard and caused extensive damage to her 2017 Kia sedan. On scene, Police Officers observed significant damage to the vehicle and found it consistent with her statement. Officers determined the dogs may have come from a nearby residence. East Ridge Animal Control Services was notified of the situation, and a property damage report was generated.

25-011157 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Motor Vehicle Crash with Injuries – Several Police, Fire, and EMS units responded to a two-vehicle crash with multiple injuries on Ringgold Road. For approximately 30 minutes, Ringgold Road was shut down to only one eastbound lane while first responders provided immediate care for the injured, cleared the area of debris, and conducted a crash investigation.

25-011159 – 3800 BLK Edwards Terrace – Disorder / Warrant Service – Police received an anonymous call stating two people were arguing outside this address. As police officers arrived on scene, a male quickly entered a black GMC truck and left the scene. Police initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver. It was determined that he had an arrest warrant through the City of East Ridge for a Violation of an Order of Protection. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.

25-011164 – 1500 BLK Tombras Avenue – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for an arrest warrant through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. The original charge for the warrant was Possession of a Controlled Substance.

25-011166 – 700 BLK Tunnel Boulevard, Chattanooga – Assist Other Agency – While conducting a Ridgeside Patrol, an East Ridge Police Officer observed a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Tunnel Boulevard and Shallowford Road. A silver Chevrolet Suburban sat through several green lights with its brake lights illuminated. East Ridge and Chattanooga Police units responded to the location and the semi-conscious driver was removed from the vehicle. The driver was then identified and arrested by Chattanooga Police Officers for a child support warrant.

25-011170 – 730 Germantown Circle – Apartment Fire – Police and Fire Department units responded to a structure fire at the Germantown Gardens Apartments. On scene, Police worked to evacuate the occupants of twenty apartments as firefighters worked to contain the quickly developing fire. Additional Fire units from Catoosa County and the City of Chattanooga responded and were required to extinguish the large structure fire. The source of the fire is unknown and will be investigated.
