Day Shift September 20: A Squad
26-009112 – 1000 BLK Greens Lake Road – Theft by Fraud – Police spoke with a woman who said a company unknown to her, Kraken Exchanges, deducted money from her bank account on three separate occasions. The woman advised her bank had opened a fraud investigation into the matter.
26-009114 – 1000 BLK South Seminole Drive – Well Being Check / Back EMS – While on a traffic stop, and officer was flagged down by a man lying in the grass. The party advised his caregivers on Mason Drive were trying to kill him. He complained that his body hurt and he appeared lethargic. HCEMS arrived and provided transport for medical care. Police notified his caregivers who were found in the area looking for him.
26009119 – 3600 BLK Shirl Jo Lane – Theft of Services – The former tenant advised she had vacated the unit in June, notifying EPB of her exit. She advised today that she received an electric statement for $426 of power usage from August and September. Upon arrival at the unit she observed it unsecure and an orange extension cable running from the inside of her former apartment into the property maintenance employee’s unit. The tenant was asked to contact EPB and to send any supporting documentation to East Ridge Police.
Night Shift September 20: C Squad
26-009126 – 3500 BLK Cathy Lane – Theft From Vehicle/Arrest – Officers were dispatched to the 3500 Block of Cathy Lane for reports of two males breaking into a vehicle and running on foot towards Germantown after being confronted by the vehicle owner. Officers located two males at the corner of Germantown and Cathy and detained them. The suspects were ultimately found to be in possession of a firearm, a flat-head screwdriver, and wearing gloves. Evidence observed on scene indicated that a slim, long, object had been inserted between the door frame and the window of the victim’s vehicle consistent with the screwdriver located in the suspect’s possession. Both males were taken into custody and charged with Possession of Burglary Tools, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Vehicle Burglary.
