Day Shift September 7: B Squad
26-008645- 6900 BLK Martha Avenue- SIA – Police were called after friends of the property owner located unexploded live ordnance. Police secured the area and created a perimeter for safety. Chattanooga Police Bomb Squad and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Bomb Squad responded. The ordnance was properly disposed of by the CPD Bomb Squad.
26-008634- 2000 BLK Prigmore Road- Theft – The victim reported multiple pieces of red and black Echo lawn equipment stolen from an unsecured trailer in his driveway overnight. Stolen items included two SRM-225 weed eaters, two 2620T weed trimmers, and one PB-9010 blower, with a total estimated loss of $3,080. No suspect information currently.
26-008641 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop/Arrests – A man was arrested for Criminal Impersonation, Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Schedule VI, Possession of Stolen Property (Firearm) following a traffic stop at this location. He was a passenger in the vehicle driven by a party identifying herself as another woman. While attempting to verify either party’s information, the driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Upon being detained the male admitted to possessing loose Hydrocodone on his person, which coupled with the smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle resulted in officers searching the auto. Upon search of the vehicle, police located a small amount of marijuana and a stolen Glock 22 under the man’s seat. He later admitted his actual name and was found to have multiple warrants through Hamilton County Sessions Court. The male suspect was transported to Hamilton County Jail on his warrants, and the driver was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for Criminal Impersonation and several traffic citations.
Night Shift September 7: D Squad
26-008644 – 1400 BLK North Mack Smith Road – MVC No Injuries – ERPD responded to a reported hit-and-run. The officer spoke with the complainants, who stated that they were parked and had not moved since arriving at the restaurant. The complainant stated a white SUV backed out and hit her car. The officer reviewed the restaurant’s security camera footage, which showed the complainant’s vehicle. The video did not show a car parked next to or striking her vehicle. The officer determined that the damage was already there and did not occur on the property.
26-008649-Waterhouse/Stateline-Traffic Stop/ AOA – Police conducted a stop on a bicycle for not having a front light. Patrol identified the rider and found that he had an extraditable warrant through Walker County, GA. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County jail to await extradition.
26-008650-4200 BLK Ringgold Road-Traffic Stop/ Narcotics Arrest – Police conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Explorer for a light law violation. Patrol conducted a consensual search of the car and located 2.6 grams of suspected narcotics. A man was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
26-008652– 5400 BLK Oakdale Avenue – Narcotics Arrest – An ERPD Officer noticed a vehicle in the roadway, illegally parked in the oncoming lane of travel. The officer sat and observed the vehicle for several minutes before deciding to take a closer look. When the officer pulled up behind the suspicious vehicle, the rear passenger exited the vehicle, attempting to go into a friend’s house. She displayed very bizarre behavior. The officer ran both individuals and searched the bags belonging to the occupant who first exited the vehicle. The officer located fentanyl and aluminum foil inside the bag. The officer decided to write a misdemeanor citation instead of a physical arrest due to being shorthanded and the call volume.
26-008653 – 4800 BLK Maryland Drive – Assist Fire – Officers were dispatched to assist the ERFD with forced entry into the residence. Officers and FD personnel made entry into the residence and assisted a female to safety. A property damage report was completed.
