Day Shift September 8: B Squad
26-008659-1000 BLK Floyd Drive- Warrant Service – Police were called after a tip that a man was located at this location and had a current warrant out of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. ERPD placed him into custody and transported him to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
26-008665- 1400 BLK Saint Thomas Street- Animal/Back ERAS – East Ridge Animal Services followed up on a tip regarding too many animals inside the motel room. ERAS and police contacted the occupants who had seven cats and one dog inside the motel room. The occupants surrendered all animals except for the dog and one cat which are being transported to their owner.
26-008676 – 1300 BLK Pleasant Street – Suspicious Activity – A concerned citizen reported being told a homeless male removed a window air conditioner unit from a residence at this location and walked away with it. Officers located the man with an A/C unit on Oakdale Avenue. He advised that the homeowner told him he could have the unit, and he was attempting to break it down into smaller pieces to carry it to a friend for scrap. This was verified by the homeowner and he left the area.
Night Shift September 8: D Squad
26-008679 – 1600 BLK East Ridge Avenue– Miscellaneous Complaint – An individual requested advice on a possible scam via phone call. The individual stated that he joined a social media group to make friends and “troll” prostitutes. The reporting party stated he had conversations with a few individuals who later called him and threatened him if he did not pay. He believed it may be a scam and wanted guidance. The officer advised the individual to block the number and not reach out to alleged prostitutes on social media.
26-008681 – MM183, Interstate 24 East bound – MVC with Injuries/ DUI Arrest – A man was arrested for suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs. Traveling Eastbound on I24, he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a transfer truck. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was cleared of any possible injuries, then taken to jail.
26-008683 – 5700 BLK Roper Street– Domestic Assault – Officers responded to the above address for a report of domestic assault. A man was charged with aggravated assault for brandishing a pistol after a physical altercation with his girlfriend.
26-008689-700 BLK Frawley Road-Theft – A caller reported that shortly after she had packages delivered, she noticed they were not at her door. The caller gave a rough description of the suspect. The caller valued the packages at approximately $400. Charges are pending the identification of the suspect.
26-008691 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Narcotics Violation – A hospital security guard searched a female patient and located some drug paraphernalia. The security guard contacted the police, who responded to investigate the situation. The officers spoke with the patient, who had a few small pieces of burnt tin foil. The foil was collected and discarded. The doctor stated that she was a patient in the hospital and was going to receive medical treatment.
26-007429 – 4214 Ringgold Rd.-Warrant Service – ERPD served a party with three outstanding warrants while in custody at Hamilton County Jail. The charges were Domestic assault, False Imprisonment, and Vandalism.
