Law and Order September 3

Day Shift September 2: A Squad

25-009300 – 300 BLK Dunlap Avenue – Disorder Prevention / Warrant Service – Police were called by property management during a tenant move out. The female party was packing and ready to leave the unit, but the male tenant was refusing to vacate. Upon arrival, police determined the male party had active East Ridge arrest warrants. He was placed into custody and transported without incident. Charges included Possession of Schedule II, Possession of Schedule VI, Drug Paraphernalia and Child Endangerment.

25-009297 – Dellway Cir – Citizen Assist – Police were contacted by a party who wanted to thank officers for intervening in his time of crisis. He stated he has started to receive the help he needs and that if not for the officers on that day, he likely would have taken his life.

25-009304 – 100 BLK Kingwood Drive – Auto Theft – Police responded to this address and spoke with a party who advised his all-terrain vehicle had been stolen from his house at approximately 1330hrs today. The ATV was originally green in color but had since been painted black with yellow stripes. He saw the alleged perpetrators drive in front of his home at approximately 1540hrs with his ATV on a trailer. The owner was unable to get a full plate number. However, he described the driver as a male, approximately in his 50’s with long gray hair, driving a 1998/1999 Chevrolet Silverado with a bed cover and side steps. There was also a female in the passenger seat. He described her as approximately in her 50’s, with blonde hair. The owner was unable to produce the VIN for the ATV at the time of the incident. However, once the VIN is provided, the vehicle will be entered into NCIC as stolen.

Night Shift September 2: C Squad

25-009317 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation / Arrest – East Ridge Police received a License Plate Reader (LPR) notification for a vehicle wanted out of Catoosa County in a theft investigation. Police officers located the Nissan Altima at the Mapco gas station and confirmed it was the correct vehicle. Four officers converged on the suspect vehicle and quickly took custody of Randall Brogdon and Valerie Vaughn. Police found that each had multiple warrants through Hamilton County and pending charges in Catoosa County. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded suspected methamphetamine, suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, and burglary tools. Brogdon and Vaughn were transported to the Hamilton County Jail where they were charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Schedule I Drugs, and Possession of Burglary Tools.

25-009306 – 5300 BLK Clemons Rd – Deceptive Practice – The victim reported a $1,900 fraudulent transaction through the Zelle online application. He had ordered a truck engine through Foreign Auto Salvage in Kentucky and thought he was speaking with a legitimate representative on the phone. He later called to confirm the engine pick-up time and was informed there was no order on file for his account. He determined he was the victim of a scam.

25-009314 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Suspicious Activity – Police Officers responded to the complaint of an aggressive panhandler near the restaurant. ERPD located the suspicious individual and identified him. He was warned of the criminal charges that could be leveraged against him, and he agreed to leave the area.

25-009319 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Public Intoxication / Arrest – Police Officers located an adult male lying under a set of steps at the hotel. He was identified, and Police determined he was highly intoxicated. Officers observed the man to have slurred speech, unsteady movements, and the odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. He was charged with Public Intoxication and he was transported to Hamilton County jail without incident.
