March 10 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

March 8 Day Shift

1417 St. Thomas Street (vandalism):

Motel 6 reported the occupants of Room 214 vandalized the room’s television and broke it during an argument. Both occupants accused the other of breaking the television. One of the occupants, Emma Cheaves, paid for the damage, and the motel declined any further action. (21-003028).

4319 Duval Street (warrant service):

Emma Cheaves was taken into custody on an East Ridge warrant and transported to Hamilton County Jail. (21-001771)

811 Moore Road (animal call):

Police observed a black cat at this location with a plastic container stuck on its head. Police attempted to assist the animal, but it fled and could not be located. Animal Control was alerted to the situation. 

3400 Lisa Drive Apt. 3 (delayed theft):

Bonnie Allen, the property manager, reported the theft of a stove and refrigerator by a previous tenant. (21-003096)

915 S. Seminole Drive (theft):

The complainant reported the theft of approximately $3,000 in Pure Romance adult novelties after she moved out of her father’s apartment the week prior. Her father provided her with a list of people who had visited his apartment since her departure. (21-003104)

 Night Shift

 6500 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 21-003123):

A caller reported seeing a male and female fighting in a vehicle on Ringgold Rd. Officers made contact with the parties and learned there was in fact a physical altercation in the vehicle. Kathy Cordell was taken into custody for domestic assault

1500 Mack Smith Rd (Suspicious Person 21-003124):

A caller reported seeing a male who seemed intoxicated and disoriented. Daniel Tackett was taken into custody for public intoxication after he admitted to smoking heroin.

5324 Dupont St (Shots Fired 21-003131):

The reporting party stated they heard two gunshots at Dutch Manor Apartments. Nothing was located by police.

5301 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-003134):

Alfred Wyatt was taken into custody for violating an order of protection. He was found in the vehicle with the victim of a domestic violence incident which occurred in Chattanooga. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

1600 Mack Smith Rd (AOA Arrest 21-003135):

Police observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane in the 1660 block of Mack Smith Rd. The officer initiated a traffic stop as the vehicle crossed into Georgia. Ft Oglethorpe Police arrived and took Joel Brown into custody for DUI.
