March 16 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

March 15 Day Shift

22-003584- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service-

Lindsey Shaw was served with an East Ridge warrant at the jail.

22-003590- 3 Sheridan Road- Traffic Stop/Arrest-

Jere Bundy was arrested for driving under the influence and two counts of aggravated child endangerment following a traffic stop.

22-003592- 3600 block Missionaire Avenue- Theft-

The resident advised sometime during the night on 3-12-22, someone stole her TN license plate off her 200 Toyota Tundra, while it was parked in the driveway at the above location. Tag was entered into NCIC.

22-003595- 941 Spring Creek Road- Disorder Prevention-

The caller requested police stand by while he cleared a homeless camp. On scene no one was located at the camp.

22-003597- 3715 Ringgold Road- Shoplifting-

On scene police met with the complainant who advised a male wearing a dark colored hat (backwards), blue jeans, white shoes, and a gray sweater over white shirt was observed putting steaks into his waistband. The complainant followed the male outside and witnessed the male get onto a bicycle and leave. He observed several meat packaging containers in the suspect’s waistband. The suspect left the scene heading east. Complainant advised a possible loss of approximately $120. The suspect is still unknown.

No number assigned- 5600 blk of Oakdale Avenue- Extra Patrol-

Police received reports of homeless people living in the overgrown vacant lot behind the Ridgewood Village complex. On scene police checked the woods but found no people at the camp. A business owner in the area observed officers and advised the homeless usually enter the lot at night.

Night Shift

(22-003613) 1517 Tombras Avenue/ found property:

A wallet believed to belong to Rebeka Jones was found at City Hall. The wallet was secured in property.

(22-003611) 4340 Ringgold Road / Intoxicated Person:

Police responded to the Food Lion after employees advised an intoxicated male was wandering through the store and had a firearm on his person. Police located the male in the back supply room unresponsive with a firearm lying next to him. The male, John Hackney, woke up and spoke with police on the scene. Police were given consent to search his person where prescription drugs were found on his key fob. After being advised of his Miranda rights, Hackney became uncooperative with the police and was detained. After being brought outside of the building, he continued to be uncooperative with police and attempted to kick multiple officers. Hackney was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm while under the influence, public intoxication, resisting arrest, and retaliation for past acts.

(22-003622) Gleason Dr & Donaldson Rd / Traffic Stop:

Police made a traffic stop on a red Audi sedan with no license plate. Police made contact with three juveniles inside the vehicle. Police conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, which yielded two firearms, 6.2 grams of marijuana, and 40 oxycodone pills. Two of the juveniles who were in possession of the firearms were taken into custody and transported to JDU. One of the juveniles who was taken into custody was observed to have $1,647 dollars in separate bills. The juvenile was given a seizure notice pending a seizure hearing by police. One of the juveniles was also found to have an active petition for violation of probation.

18000 I-24 West AOA: CPD

Trailer crash at the bottom of the ridge cut that required the 24 west to be shut down. They requested us to assist. We shut westbound down at Belvoir Ave. Exit and diverted to Brainerd Rd.
