May 17 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

May 15 – Day Shift

22-006851- 4320 Bennett Road- Alarm-

Police responded to check the school. On scene the alarm was found to be accidental.

22-006852- 4340 Ringgold Road- Alarm-

Dispatch received five alarm calls today to this business. There have been ten total over this weekend. Officers attempted to locate a responsible person for the business but were unsuccessful. 

22-006863- 4405 Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised a male was on the lot of the business talking to himself. On scene police spoke with the male and he advised he was ok. The male left the lot and walked home.

22-006864- 4350 Ringgold Road- Suspicious Activity/Criminal Trespass-

The caller advised a group of people in the store may have been attempting to shoplift. On scene police spoke with the group. Brittany Peoples was found to have a Hamilton County warrant. She was issued a criminal trespass warning and transported to Silverdale.

May 15 – Night Shift

5707 Ringgold Road/Theft: 

The manager of the Dollar General reported that a heavy-set female and a male left the store with merchandise without paying. The couple entered a white Chevrolet sedan and left the area. The suspected amount is approximately $50-$100. 22-006870

5700 Ringgold Road / Arrest-Traffic: 

Matthew Burke was arrested for Driving While License Revoked (DUI) after a traffic stop for Red Light Violation.  22-006871                        

3900 Ringgold Road / Arrest-Traffic: 

Police attempted to stop a purple motorcycle on Ringgold Road. The motorcycle fled from police into the tunnels. Police observed the motorcycle crash in the roundabout in Chattanooga. Ryan Gillespie was arrested on several charges including simple possession and unlawful possession of a firearm. CPD investigated the crash.  22-006888
