May 21 Police Briefs

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

May 19 Day Shift

21-006928- Warrant Service-

Stacey Ball was transported from the Bradley County Jail to 601 on East Ridge warrants.

21-006935- 6701 Ringgold Road (Sunrise Market) – Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a white female standing behind the store yelling. On arrival police encountered Holly M.. She was checked for warrants and sent on her way.

21-006936- 1508 McDonald Road- Suspicious Person-

The caller, an EPB employee, advised he located a white male in the vacant house at this address. On arrival police encountered Billy S. He was checked for warrants and none were located. The man was advised to leave and not come back. The property owner could not be located.

21-006937- 3824 Ringgold Road (Family Dental)- Suspicious Person-

The caller advised of a white male loitering at the business. On arrival police encountered Matthew Simpson. He was found to have several East Ridge warrants. Upon taking him into custody a firearm was located. He was transported to 601 for the warrants and a firearms charge.

21-006939- 6708 Ringgold Road (Circle K)- Psychiatric Emergency/Suspicious Person-

Police responded to the location and found a man sitting on the sidewalk in front of the Circle K.  The man stated he spent the previous evening at the Waverly Motel but got upset with several other occupants over their activities at the location.  He stated he left the location with his belongings that morning and eventually made it to the Circle K.  The man refused medical care and did not appear to be a threat to himself or others.  He left the area after speaking with police. Police received a second call advising that the man was running through traffic and harassing drivers. On arrival police spoke with him until his mother arrived to take him back to Red Bank. 

21-006940- 1503 McDonald Road (Waverly)- Unknown 911-

Dispatch advised of a phase two 911 hang up call from this location. On arrival police checked the area with nothing located.

21-006944- 3210 Westonia Drive- Suspicious Vehicle-

The caller advised of a red Jeep Cherokee parked in her rear driveway. On arrival police spoke to the driver. It was found he is a plumber and was looking for the address on his work order.

Night Shift

21-006970 – Food Lion, 4338 Ringgold Road / Shoplifting:

The manager of Food Lion caught two females shoplifting health and beauty aids.  Brenda G. Crouch was issued a misdemeanor citation.  Crystal M. Gaddis ran out the back door.  Police are applying for warrants on Gaddis.

21-006968 3220 Gleason Drive Apt. 75 / Disorder / Arrest:

Kedrick Barnette was taken into custody for an active Vandalism warrant through East Ridge City Court and multiple Probation Violation warrants through Catoosa County following a disorder call at this location.

21-006978 3201 Old Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop / Mental Health:

A male subject was transported to Parkridge East Hospital for mental health evaluation following approaching Police on a separate traffic stop at this location.

21-006951/ 5346 Ringgold Road/ Burglary:

Complainant reported that someone entered his apartment while he was in the bath and took the Swagtron Electric bicycle that he rented from Advance Rent to Own.  The complainant could not provide any suspect information.  The bicycle is approximately 20”, black in color with yellow stripes. The estimated value is $600.

21-006971 / 6513 Ringgold Road (Waffle House)/ Theft from a Vehicle:

The complainant reported that between the hours of 2230 and 0045, someone entered her vehicle taking her cell phone, two Chime cards, and $400 in cash.  Police were unable to review security camera footage due to no manager on shift.  The complainant deactivated the two Chime cards and located her cell phone at 1525 Maxwell Road by using a google app to locate.  The cell phone appeared to be thrown from a vehicle as it passed this location.

21-006973 / 1525 East Ridge Avenue/ Noise Complaint:

The complainant stated that the construction occurring at Walmart was too loud for 0145 hours.  He asked police to speak with the Walmart Construction Manager to reduce the noise so that he could sleep.  Police spoke with the crew and informed them of the noise ordinance. They stated that they were not aware of it and will attempt to reduce the noise while working outside the building.

6514 Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – 21-006957 –

Police responded to a report of a person refusing to leave the Mapco. Police made contact with the subject who told police he was refusing to leave because he had nowhere to go. The man left when instructed by police and was trespassed from the Mapco.

6500 Ringgold Road/Warrant Service 21-006954:

Police assisted FBI Agents in recovering a fugitive.  FBI Agents took the man into custody, and ERPD offered to transport him to the jail. Due to the subject’s medical condition, he was transported to the hospital by EMS. FBI took custody of him at Erlanger.

1416 Dover Ln Apt A – Residential Fire – 21-006972 –

Police responded with ERFD to a residential fire at a duplex. Police evacuated the duplex, and ERFD extinguished the fire.
