Police Briefs Feb. 21

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

Feb. 19 Day Shift

182 I-24 East (AOA):

Police assisted TDOT and THP with a tanker truck which had leaked hot asphalt in Chattanooga prior to stopping in  East Ridge. Yate’s cleanup crew responded to the scene.

5700 Ringgold Road (arrest):

John Doe (aka Jorge Gaspar) was arrested for DUI, resisting arrest, criminal simulation, improper turn and misuse of registration following a traffic stop at this location.

3635 Ringgold Road (juvenile arrest):

Juvenile was arrested for possession of marijuana and tobacco and was transported to JDU.

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Monterell Neal was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on an outstanding East Ridge warrant/petition to revoke for possession of crack cocaine.

4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):

Dontia Smith was arrested at the Hamilton County Jail on an outstanding East Ridge alias capias warrant for driving on revoked.

Night Shift

908 Harris Lane (Unknown 911):

The Hamilton County Dispatch reported that a 911 call came from the address with a person screaming in the background.  The call came from a 911 only phone and the caller hung-up soon after the scream was made.  Police responded to the location and found the homeowner along with four other individuals at the residence. Goldberg and the four visiting parties all denied having made the 911 call.  The 911 only phone was not located. 

908 Harris Lane (Warrant Service):

While investigating an unknown 911 call at the residence, police determined that Amber Goldsmith had an active warrant through the city of East Ridge.  Goldsmith was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.  The warrant was for Driving on a Suspended License.

3800 Ringgold Road (Traffic Stop):

Following a traffic stop, Savannah Wilson was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest when she was found to be driving on a suspended license.   

4000 Ringgold Rd (arrest):

Desarai Lofton was issued misdemeanor citation for driving on revoked following a traffic stop.

3400 Ringgold Rd. (mis cite):

Tanika Campbell was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving on suspended following a traffic stop at this location.
