Police Briefs for April 14

The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” proved by the East Ridge Police Department.

April 12 Day Shift

22-005069- 7609 Standifer Gap Road- Warrant Service-

Kharly Rainey was served and East Ridge warrant at Silverdale.

22-005071- 1114 Altamaha Street- AOA/Disorder Prevention-

Code Enforcement requested an escort to this address while they condemned the residence. On scene police stood by to prevent any potential disorder.

22-005073- 6514 Ringgold Road- Wellbeing Check-

The caller advised of a male walking along Ringgold Road with no shoes on. They requested police check on the male. On scene he advised he was fine and in no need of assistance.

Night Shift

6700 Ringgold Road (Traffic Stop 22-005094):

Police attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with the wrong license plate displayed on it. The vehicle continued at a low speed approximately 5-10 miles an hour while driving around other vehicles on the roadway with the driver’s door half open and the driver hanging out of the vehicle. The vehicle came to a stop at the Food City Gas Station in Georgia. The driver, Anthony Wright, immediately got out of the vehicle and refused to comply with police commands. Police attempted to detain Wright and he began fighting with officers on seen. Police tased the man and was able to take him into custody. Wright was taken to the Catoosa County jail by Catoosa County and a hold was placed on him pending East Ridge warrants. Warrants were issued and signed; However, Wright will need to be picked up from Catoosa Count Jail within 72 hours. 

 1417 Mack Smith Road / Disorder:

Samantha Ermer was taken into custody for public intoxication, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and assault on police after officers were called to the East Ridge Residence for the second time during the night for a domestic disorder. (22-005109)

1410 Mack Smith Road/Drugs (22-005106)

Michael Wycuff was arrested for meth for resale at this location during a suspicious activity encounter. 3.5 grams of meth.

1101 Spring Creek Road / Public Intoxication /Arrest –

Randy Sluder was arrested for Public Intoxication following a call that a male fell on the ground and was screaming for help.

1500 Keeble Street / Felony Evading Arrest: 

A newer model white Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with wide black and thin red stripes, evaded police when a stop was attempted for a red light violation.

22-005092 3725 Fountain Ave -Domestic Disorder –

Police were dispatched to a possible Burglary in Progress at this location. Once on scene, Police made contact with a male and female subject. Both parties stated they were assaulted by the other. Police were unable to see any marks or bruises on either party and could not determine that an assault took place. Both parties were also determined to be residents at the location. Both parties separated for the evening.
