Police Briefs for Aug. 10

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

August 8 Day Shift

6105 Ringgold Rd. (Fight):

Two parties were observed by a reporting party outside of an unknown make black truck fighting. Parties had left area prior to police arrival and later pulled into the police department. The parties were identified and stated they had recently broken up and a physical altercation ensued while inside the vehicle. Police were unable to determine a primary aggressor due to conflicting statements. The subjects were sent their separate ways. (22-011157)

1312 Spring Creek Rd. Spring Creek Baptist Church (Criminal Simulation):

The administrative assistant for the church reported an unknown suspect obtained the church bank information and created several checks. She stated the checks were written to individuals the church did not know. The checks were cashed at several banks totaling almost $9,300. Their financial institution has already opened a fraud case and she was able to provide copies of the checks to police. (22-011156)

1300 block Greenslake Rd (Domestic Aassault):

A woman reported her child’s father assaulted her during an argument. The male suspect who already has multiple warrants for various assaults, fled the scene before police arrival, leaving behind his 2016 black Dodge Dart, that was blocking the caller’s driveway. Police later spoke with the male suspect via telephonic service, and he claimed the reporting party was damaging his vehicle and left the scene. Police later learned that the reporting party has a temporary protection order in place keeping her away from the male suspect. A warrant for domestic assault will be sought for the male suspect and a warrant for violation of order of protection will be sought for the reporting party. (22-011137).

3920 Ringgold Rd (Theft/Criminal Trespass):

Gidget Brady was trespassed from the Dollar General after she picked up an employee’s miniature backpack containing their money and bank cards and left the store with it. A short time later, Brady called to report she was returning the item and forgot she had it with her. Upon her return, it was determined that the backpack was short approximately $180. At the request of the employees, the subject was not charged but issued a criminal trespass. (22-011152).

4100 block Ringgold Rd (Assist EMS):

Officers responded to this location after the tenant advised her son injected fentanyl.  EMS arrived and transported the party to Parkridge East. (22-011160).

Night Shift

1600 block Melody Lane (Sex Offense22-0111620):

Police were dispatched to this location regarding a juvenile allegedly being sexually exploited on Snap Chat. Cellphone was placed into evidence, report on file. (22-011162)
