Police Briefs for Aug. 2

The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports provided by the East Ridge Police Department.

July 31 Day Shift

Ringgold Road / Keeble Street:

Police encountered Marcus Faulkner rummaging through items at the Goodwill Donation Center.  He was checked for warrants and had a non-extraditable warrant out of Georgia.  He was advised to move along. 

4214 Ringgold Road:

Sydney Shaw with Child Protective Services (CPS) requested police contact her via telephone.  Upon contacting Ms. Shaw, she advised that CPS had been notified of a possible sexual abuse of a 14-year-old in state custody.  Ms. Shaw advised that there would be an investigation and she requested that a police report be filed.  

1356 East End Avenue:

The motorcycle stolen off Roper Street on July 30th was recovered. 

5911 Ringgold Road:

The complainant advised that between July 30th at 5:30 pm and July 31st at 10:00 am someone took the tag from a 2007 Kia Sedona parked on the lot. 

724 Pyron Lane:

A caller requested police presence while serving an eviction notice.  Officers responded and kept the peace. 

132 Margaretta Lane:

Police responded with Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and assisted in the service of an order of protection.

Night Shift

601 Walnut Street:

Larry Petty was served with an East Ridge warrant. 

4214 Ringgold Road:

A woman came to the police department to report vandalism to her vehicle.  The woman stated that she was involved in a road rage incident.  The woman advised that a man in a gold SUV threw a baseball at her vehicle while she was traveling in the 4100 block of Bennett Road.  The baseball left two small marks on the hood of her vehicle. 

3404 Lisa Drive:

The complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend punched the passenger side mirror of her car causing it to break.  The complainant was informed on how to obtain an order of protection. 

1000 Spring Valley Road:

Police responded to this location around 6:30 pm after receiving a noise complaint on the Red Wolves construction crew.  Police found no violation of City ordinance. 

6126 Sherwood Drive:

Police responded to this location around 7:00 pm after receiving a noise complaint on the Red Wolves construction crew.  Police found no violations of City ordinance.
