Police Briefs for Aug. 31

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”

August 29 – Day Shift

3936 Ringgold Road (possession of meth):

Randall Taylor was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for simple possession of methamphetamine following a traffic stop. (21-012455)

6727 Ringgold Road (criminal trespass):

Police came into contact with Robert Moore, a customer at Wendy’s, after he got into a verbal disorder with restaurant staff. The manager stated Moore was cursing the juvenile employee that was working the window due to an issue with his food. Moore was trespassed from the property at the manager’s request. (21-012462)

625 Marlboro Avenue (dog complaint):

Resident called seeking assistance dealing with his neighbor’s dog. He said the dog charges the fence and barks aggressively whenever he goes into his backyard. Officers suggested some remedies, but those were rejected. ERAS was contacted. (21-012448)

August 29 – Night Shift

800 Donaldson (Field Interview 21-012469):

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a man who was recognized as being a possible suspect in recent burglaries. He was checked for warrants, issued citations and a field interview was completed.

700 S Germantown (Evading 21-012474):

Police initiated a traffic stop on a black Mercedes with dark tinted windows. As the officer approached the vehicle on foot it fled. Police allowed the vehicle to safely flee per policy.

6642 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 21-012482):

Police responded to a possible disorder between three parties over their romantic interests in each other. The perceived agitator left for the night.

5206 Weaver St (Shots Fired 21-012485):

Reports of five gunshots in the area of Weaver and McBrien. Nothing located by police.

4214 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-012491):

Tyree Benford was arrested at Silverdale on multiple East Ridge warrants.

4100 Ringgold Rd (AOA Warrant Arrest 21-012492):

David Carter was detained on Hamilton County warrants during a traffic stop. He was transported to Silverdale.

1600 Springvale Rd (Misdemeanor Citation 21-012487):

Troy Scroggins was issued misdemeanor citations for three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and simple possession of marijuana.
