Police Briefs for Aug. 9

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.

August 05– Day Shift

1200 S Seminole Dr/Drugs(21-011151)

Derek Watkins was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for simple possession of methamphetamine.

4403 Ringgold Road/ Property Damage:

Owner of the property contacted police about damage to his parking lot. At about 3 a.m. a garbage truck entered the parking lot to retrieve garbage. Truck broke through the asphalt and required a tow truck to pull him out. Damage is extensive and appears to have broken some form of drainpipe.21-011158

3573 Bennett/ Animal Call:

Homeowner came outside and discovered a young raccoon sitting at the end of his driveway. The animal appeared disoriented, either from being struck by a car or some other form of neurological ailment. ERAS met officers at the scene and took charge of the animal. 21-011144

5611 Ringgold Rd./ Suspicious Activity:

A patron at Los Potros went into the women’s bathroom and found a makeshift noose made out of paper towels, hanging from the ceiling. Police responded, documented it and placed it into P&E. 21-011164

4348 Ringgold Rd./ Narcotics:

Manager at Food Lion observed one of her employees go out into the parking lot to meet several people to do narcotics. Officers responded and made contact with Meredith Woodrun, Joshua Burnette and Jolene Mulderink. All subjects had syringes and straws and admitted to being drug users. Woodrun had multiple warrants thru the county. All were issued Misdemeanor Citations 21-011167

August 05 –Night Shift

3100 Ringgold Rd. (Hazard 21-011176):

Semi stuck in the tunnel heading into Chattanooga. The truck was removed from the tunnel and citations issued.

6514 Ringgold Rd. (Mental  Health 21-011180):

Police responded to a disorderly female at the Mapco. The female had been in the store for several hours. She was becoming agitated with employees and had refused to leave. The party told officers she was an heiress to the Mapco fortune and didn’t need to vacate. After some lengthy conversation she was convinced to move on for the evening.

5300 Ringgold Rd. (DUI 21-011183):

Jerry L Jones was taken into custody for DUI, driving while suspended, and open container violation during a traffic stop.

3213 Castle Ave (Shots Fired 21-011184):

A party reported hearing seven to nine rapid gunshots. Officers responded but didn’t locate anything suspicious.

606 S Lovell (Shots Fired 21-011188):

The reporting party stated they heard several shots from what sounded like a handgun. Nothing was located by police.

500 McBrien Rd (Arrest 21-011192):

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Nissan Frontier after observing suspicious activity at Walgreen’s, 5301 Ringgold Rd. The vehicle was stopped for a registration violation. The driver, Jefferson Kirkland, was taken into custody for alteration of a registration plate. The passenger, Brandy Acuff, was detained on Dade County warrants for possession of dangerous drugs. Both were transported to Silverdale.

5301 Ringgold Rd. (Arrest 21-011193):

Rosie Fennell was taken into custody for theft from the Walgreens and criminal impersonation. She also had numerous theft warrants through Hamilton County and Bradley County. She was transported to Silverdale.

5603 Ringgold Rd. (Suspicious Person/Arrest 21-011194):

Police responded to reports of a male party looking in the windows of closed businesses and wandering into traffic. James Robinson was taken into custody for public intoxication.

4214 Ringgold Rd. (Warrant Arrest 21-011195):

Jereme Billups was arrested on East Ridge warrants at Silverdale.

6514 Ringgold Rd. (Arrest 21-011197):

Scott King was observed travelling 94 mph in a 45 mph construction zone on I-75 south while workers were present. He was charged with speeding, and reckless endangerment.

August 06 – Day Shift

21-011208- 1000 Bass Pro Drive (Bass Pro)- Child Exchange-

The caller advised the child’s mother would not allow her to pick up the child. Once on scene police were able to mediate the situation. The child was passed off to the appropriate parent.

21-011212- 1156 Chippewah Drive- Property Damage-

Police spoke with complainant regarding property damage. He advised sometime during the night someone busted out his passenger side window on his dodge pickup truck. Sanders stated the estimated amount of damage was at $100. There is no suspect information.

August 06 – Night Shift

5811 Ringgold Rd / Traffic Stop (21-011242):

Jalen Norman was issued a misdemeanor citation for simple possession following a traffic stop.

21-011233 4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:

Seann Gastaneta was arrested on six separate East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.

600 Camp Jordan PKWY / Arrest: (21-011236)

Kevin McCullough was arrested for Hamilton County warrants following a traffic stop at this location.

1511 Castleberry Ave / Arrest: (21-011249)

Nelson Garley was arrested following a traffic stop for DUI and resisting arrest.

21-011241- 6400 Ringgold Road/ Arrest-

Timothy Jones was taken into custody following a traffic stop for active warrants through Hamilton County.

21-011251: 3657 Ringgold- Suspicious Vehicle/Arrest:

Following a consensual encounter, Dakota Lynn was found to be in possession of meth and various paraphernalia.
