Police Briefs for August 11

The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.

August 9 Day Shift

1400 Mack Smith( Civil Matter  22-011183):

Officers were notified of a vehicle exiting the Budgetel that had been taken without the permission of the owner. The vehicle had been taken from an address in Chattanooga but the owner had not reported it stolen. The vehicle was located and returned to the owner.

1521 Rugby Pl (Assist Fire 22-011181):

Police responded to this location for a possible residential fire. On arrival, it was found that the elderly resident had left a plastic tray on the stove while she went on her morning walk. ERFD arrived on scene and handled the call.

4150 Monroe St (Disorder 22-011184):

Police responded to the Neighborhood Walmart after employees with the store called about a male and female in a loud verbal altercation in the parking lot. On arrival, police spoke with a female employee who advised her children’s father came there to argue with her, but she did not feel in danger or threatened. The male party was gone when officers arrived.

3200 block Castle Ave (Suspicious Vehicle 22-011192):

Caller reported being followed by a red VW Jetta in the Donaldson Rd and Gleason Dr area while she was walking her dog around 0700hrs. The complainant advised it was occupied by a male party, who then got out of the vehicle and urinated in front of her. The caller did not report this until four hours after the incident.

6510 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Activity 22-011204):

An employee with the motel reported two female subjects on the property looking into vehicles. Police made contact with two women sitting in a breezeway. The subjects advised they were waiting for a ride. At the request of the motel, the subjects were advised to move along as they were not guests of the business.

Night Shift

1517 Tombras Avenue (Warrant Svc.):

Jimario Gibson was taken into custody at East Ridge City Court on Red Bank warrants. (22-011203)

5900 block Ringgold Road (Domestic Assault):

Police met with the victim of an alleged domestic assault. After further investigation it was determined warrants will be sought for domestic assault and child endangerment on a male subject. (22-011206)

300 block Tanager Circle (Disorder):

A male subject violated an Order of Protection after having contact with his wife at this location. A warrant is being applied for. (22-011207)

201 Eads Street (Disorder W Weapon 22-011229:

A woman and her mother engaged in a verbal disorder which resulted in her mother relinquishing her daughter to state custody. (22-011229)

4214 Ringgold Rd. (Warrant Service):

Joseph McDowell was taken into custody for an East Ridge warrant and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. (22-011202)
